I posted this on th UB as well but I think it needs repeating.

I was one of the wheelchair users at the premiere on Monday. One of the other browncoats very kindly mentioned to the staff that I was there and that I wouldn't see a lot when the barrier was put in place (I've forgotten your name again, I'm really sorry!)

Next thing I know the two wheelchair users (I'll put in the other persons name later if she doesn't mind), are being taken through the barriers onto the red carpet. Great feelings of excitement (and the considerable urge to throw up!) We were both rather glad that the other was there.

Our BDH's arrive and we were in the middle of it! there they were right next to us. They all came over and talked and signed all our stuff. Gina has a real presence, she was really interested to see my Kaylee comic as she hadn't seen that cover before, Jewel was sweet and her husband was gorgeous too, moddling her handbag and holding the flowers that Pixel gave her. Summer and Morena both talked to us and are both absolutely gorgeous.

I got photos of Adam, Sean and Nathan with me, (It wasn't that I wouldn't have wanted pictures with the ladies but I was dumbstruck and didn't ask) I had plucked up a bit of courage by the time the gentlemen came over) Nathan and Sean were really sweet and asked my name and was I looking forward to the movie. However Adam made me laugh. He went behind my chair and tipped it up and gave me a big hug. A wonderful experience.

We were then taken into the cinema screen where they had sorted out spaces for the wheelchairs and seats for the people that accompanied us. Adam came into the cinema and came over and started chatting to us about the film, asking us if we had seen it, which we hadn't.

Other people have posted about the film so I'll leave that bit with the exception of saying it was better than I expected (and I was expecting great things).

On Tuesday the othr wheelchair user and I met up before Joss' talk, the cinema staff said that the seating arrangements had to be slightly different and were very apologetic that our friends had to sit in front of us which was very thoughtful of them. Can I ask that the other wheelchair user tells about this bit

After we came out of the Reel Life I asked if we could speak to the security person who had helped us out, and he ushered us through to meet Elijah Wood!

Can I just say a big thankyou to Ben in particular closely followed by Katherine (I hope I've spelt your name right!) and also Paul and Shane who made sure that everyone had come over and talked to us. You made me feel like royalty.
