In addition to the novelization of the movie, I've heard that we are getting a Firefly Expanded Universe in the form of a series of original novels.

What can ppl tell me about these? Release dates, book titles, authors etc etc.

Are they going to go for a EU that ties everything together (book, comics, movie tv shows etc) are all taking place in the Firefly "canon", like they've done with Star Wars, or is it going to be more "all over the place" like Star Trek.

I'm hoping for a SW-type EU, and knowing Joss, that's what we'll get.
Any info anyone has would be great.

the comic book has an advertisement in it about these. All it says is that the novels are coming soon from pocket books.

That's good to know. Personally, I'm a bit daunted when it comes to reading those kind of things, because you have a whole library of books that go into the verse in far more detail then you cared about in the first place. And just keeping them all together in continuity is, to me, a daunting task.

But I think I should be able to handle it. YOUCAN'T GO HOME AGAIN is sort of turning into a novel of it's own, so there that is.

And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ... ow ... ound ... round ... ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?
