Sorry to have posted this without checking facts. I just read an old letter about the close pass of Mars, which got me excited about what I thought was to be another close pass. But that singular event took place two years ago, and was enjoyed by all, self included. It won't be repeated in our lifetimes. Nor will this post be repeated in our lifetimes.

But since you're looking for news about Mars, please be advised that JOSS is a fan of VERONICA MARS.

And, by the way, does anyone know if Charisma will be on V. Mars next season, along with Alyson?

Yep, I think it has passed, but what you can also believe is that 12th of August is rather significant in H.G.Wells War of the Worlds

"At midnight on the 12th of August, a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars and sped towards Earth. Acorss two hundered million miles of void, invisibly hurtling towards us, came the first of the missiles that were to bring so much calamity to Earth. As I wathced, there was another jet of gas. It was another missile, starting on it`s way." (taken from the beginning dialogue for Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds which in turn was based upon the original book.
