I finally lost patience and called the theatre (at 11:35 am) and asked the lady WHEN would the tickets be going on sale.

She told me that they went out on the web and sold out in 6 minutes.

Since no one on our 50 member strong Minnesota Independents has said anything about getting a ticket, I'm guessing it was a mass-purchase by generous group leaders for friends.

"I'm gonna rip you a new puppet hole, bitch!"

Doh! I just called the theatre automated line and found they were sold out! Stupidly, I was keeping an eye on movietickets the whole time...

So, tickets, tickets, whose got the tickets?

Actually once tix were on sale a few people posted to the yahoo group that they got 'em. I had my messenger up and was notified as soon as the e-mail hit the group, and I still wasn't fast enough to get a ticket.

Why, oh why, couldn't they use a larger theater. One that has more than 200 seats. I know that the main big screen has over 700 seats. (Found that out a few years ago at the Triology Tuesday screenings of LOTR.)

Oh well, I'm going to try and convince myself I don't want to see it until September. (Unless some kind soul has pity on me.)
