GAVIDA

Hi,
there is a small article in the new "Cinema" (Issue 06/05) about our BMD.

Sadly and as usual the article seems to be written without any research about the movie or the background of how the BDM came to live.

Don't buy the mag, go to a store, flip to page 14, read the article and maybe send "Cinema" an e-mail about this article (but better get a night's sleep over it to calm down a bit )

For our english speaking Browncoats just a short recap:

In the new Issue of "Cinema" (calling itself "Europe's biggest Moviemagazine" ) there is a small article about "Serenity".

It states that "Firefly" was cancelled because of the high production costs. Nowhere does it state that F*X messed the whole thing up with airing the episodes out of order and moving the slot around and that the ratings wheren't that good because of their stupidity.

And they actually stated that the massive "protest of the fans forced the making of "Serenity".
Ok, if the huge sales of the DVD-Box can be called "Protest" then they probably are right.
And that due to the massive amount of cash made with the sales "forced" Universal to get the rights for the Big Screen, then they are right again.

Now if this article doesn't give a bad impression of the history of Firefly/Serenity and doesn't make it sound like a halfheartedly made B-Movie (or worse), I don't know.

I hope the german speaking Browcoats will do as I do and send "Cinema" some information, since their employees don't seem to be able to do so themselves.

On the other hand.... what to expect from a movie magazine that hypes EP III like there is no tomorrow.

Time to switch to some of the smaller and independent magazines, I guess

Really angry,
Gavida

I'm pretty sure the article is referring to that 'Million Browncoat March' that occurred in Washintgon D.C. a couple of yrs ago. All those signs and folks yelling slogans... ' No Joss', No Peace!'

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

I hate "cinema". Not only because of this article but overall.

It's the most stupid magazine ever.
