hi im new here was sent over from farscape.com to get all my questions about firefly and serenity answered. i dont have satellite so no scifi or sky or anything remotely interesting like that,and im a bit confused.Can some one tell me is serenity a spin off of firefly but with the same cast?
im getting a copy of firefly from a very obliging colleague tonight but i need answere now!

Important people don't do field work.

Serenity is a continuation of the series taking place 6 months after the last episode of Firefly. There is a comic three shot coming out soon that is supposed to cover the 6 months as well. So, no spinoff...Think of it more like the Trek movies as far as continuity is concerned...

I can help field your question...although I think just about eveyone else is going to want to pitch in here.

The movie 'Serenity' is supposed to take place 6 months after the last episode in the television series 'Firefly'. The film will have the same main cast as that of the show. In short, consider the movie to be less a spin-off and more a continuation of the original series.

get the DVDs (rent from netflix)
or watch on Sci-fi cable channel, staring July 2005
and learn all about River and the other Big Damn Heros
without getting spoiled first!
