So my other life exists over at the VW forums at www.thesamba.com/vw/forum and I've decided to do a series of avatars and quotes from the show that will also link to the site here. I'm currently using Jayne and a quote from him, but what other quotes from other characters do you all suggest?

I never made the connection before but a Firefly has a lot in common with a VW Bus, at least IMHO. I could definitely picture a present-day Mal running cigarettes over the border to Canada using one. So that particular forum seems like a perfect place to advertise for the show. How about making up your own tagline... "Firefly - The VW Bus of the 26th Century" or some quotes related to Serenity herself, "Yep. A real beauty, ain't she? Yessir. A right smart purchase, this vessel. Tell you what, you buy this ship, treat her proper, she'll be with ya for the rest of your life." or "You like ships. Don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is ships and mine is the nicest."

I think I have Wash's all picked out (Who's flyin' this thing!)

River (No Power in the Verse)

America loves a winner!

On a couple of other boards I post, I promote our BDH. On one , I use a FIREFLY gif

as my sig with 4 lines from the Ballad of Serenity under it. In the last line .. You can't take the sky from me , is a hyperlink to http://www.serenitymovie.com/

In the other board, I have the SERENITY logo

as my sig, and below that, a hyperlinked message with the release date for the BDM, http://www.fireflymovie.com/media/FireflyLogoAnim_med.mov

Got all that ?

Just a couple of little things I do to spread the word to thems who need it.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. My gamertag on XBox-Live is HEROofCANTON . In HALO 2, I'm still fighting more like Simon than Jayne

Wasn't "No power in the 'verse ... " originally Kaylee's line? She was chasing River around and took the apple, and said the line. Then during the fight when River uses the gun, she says it back to Kaylee. Did River say it before Kaylee did earlier than that?

River was putting the killing of three bad guys
on a parr w/Kaylee chasing her down & getting her apple back...

it increased the creepifying aspect of the situation
