Making Fan Videos

OK, So I've been inspired by watching WiccanSlyr's amazing fan video over and over again. And wanna make my own. And I have Windows MovieMaker, but I have absolutely no idea how to make videos!! So I'm asking for help, can anybody tell me how? Or gimme a link to a step by step walkthrough of how? And can I make Firefly videos just using my DVD's? Or do I need to download clips or something? Any help would be much appreciated and may result in a new Fanvid somehwhere down the line.

WMM used .wmv and .mpg files as its fodder. Just import the files into the program and then select and adjust the clip lengths to your desired timing. Also, don't forget to adjust your audio input so that the .mp3 file you're using for music outweighs the original audio from the video clips.

Just get in there and play with it. It's fun!

http://www.doom9.org/ is a good source of information for both DVD ripping and video encoding.

But I can't get my Audio mp3 to 'go on' my clip things. I've got all the clips together. And they wont play as one thing, and it wont let me use the 'combine' button. And I can't get my audio file to play whil the clips play.
