I don't believe the IRS investigations are going to produce either reform or punishment. If anything, the IRS seems to have gained more unfettered power under Obamacare, and they're more dangerous now than ever before. I would advise anyone seeking tax-exempt status for their organization to tread carefully; perhaps consider other ways of incorporating like LLC or SE to protect assets and limit exposure to IRS scrutiny.
