I think it's important that we have a wide range of viewpoints so we know what's going on and what people are thinking from all parts of the political spectrum.

You guys and Geezer represent the right wing around here. It's an important role. I actually kinda wish we had more rightwingers around, a lot of them have gone away and so you guys are the only ones around to take the brunt of disagreement.

Appreciate the effort. Never heard of that song, and as I generally am allergic to much of the 70's ( Polyester, Disco and Pet Rocks... ew ) I must have had a reflex reaction.

'The Rapper' was a #1 hit in 1970, a huge song for The Jaggerz. The lead singer was Donnie Iris who later sang the early 80's rock classic 'Ah Leah'.

He looks like Freddie from Freddie And The Dreamers, the girl looks like a young Megyn Kelly.

I know that song. More in my wheel house there.

First rock in roll I specifically recall from my youth , which I'll for ever associate with summer, is Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress, by The Hollies. ( release date April, 1972 )

Obviously, I grew up hearing Beatles and Stones, and all that came before, but for many classic ' Wonder Years' type memories, this one stood out.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

I agree with Mark; I would adore real debates about the issues, because all sides have something to contribute and I'd like to hear them. What I see here from the right doesn't represent that, unfortunately, and it seems the few well-spoken right wingers I've seen come through here don't stick around long. Would be nice to actually debate the issues.
