Anti-gun Michael Moore’s body guard arrested on gun charges

Kosher politician Michael Moore is an elitist gun control zealot, but he has (or at least in 2005) a body guard who carries a gun. Why? Because he’s safer that way.

Filmmaker Michael Moore’s (search) bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon in New York’s JFK airport Wednesday night.

Police took Patrick Burke, who says Moore employs him, into custody after he declared he was carrying a firearm at a ticket counter. Burke is licensed to carry a firearm in Florida and California, but not in New York. Burke was taken to Queens central booking and could potentially be charged with a felony for the incident.

Moore’s 2003 Oscar-winning film “Bowling for Columbine” criticizes what Moore calls America’s “culture of fear” and its obsession with guns.

Moore, who always pretends he isn’t filthy rich, can afford to hire armed protection (does this count as being “obsessed with guns”) yet doesn’t believe in allowing those less fortunate than him to protect themselves with firearms. The hypocrisy is hurting my head. Since the tragedy in Connecticut last week, Michael Moore has been demanding more gun control.

UPDATE: Here is a more recent video of Michael Moore and his gun hypocrisy from 2008. Moore explains that he owns a gun because he opened a bank account and in return received a free gun. He then proceeds to say he wants to raffle it off for a good cause. Why? He doesn’t need it because he has security. He had it then and he has it now.

“I don’t think that uh…I have enough security that I don’t really need to worry about that.”

Not uncommon, actually.

Here in Michigan we have a lot less of the ridiculous omg-how-horrible frenzy at the notion of packing heat, but there's still a few...

One of which was the intended Million-Mom-March, which was completely drowned out via the response of the Second Amendment Sisters, who showed up in droves, but what made it all the more ironic was that the leader of the MMM was shortly thereafter arrested for possession of a pistol without any papework AND with the serial numbers filed off, which being the complete goddamn hypocrite most of these folks are and showing the general attitude toward responsibility for their actions they often do, she tried initially to blame on her son, although that failed when he didn't care for being hung out to dry.

They don't wanna ban all guns, most of em, they wanna ban YOUR guns.

As for Moore, if he'd addressed the actual root causes instead of playing white guilt and trying to blame mere objects he'd have actually maybe accomplished something other than producing naught more than semi-comprehensible propaganda - although I am kind of personally pissed at him besides over a conversation we had some time ago in Flint where he all but admitted his primary intention is making himself money.
