Geeser, you make some good points in this thread.

Happy, I don't think you did anything wrong, I think I rant a little too.

Raptor, I support the troops too, most of them are just regular people doing what they feel is right or doing what they perceive to be right.

Quicko, you behave like a real snot a lot of the time lately in regards to these sorts of threads, you were a total snothead to Geezer.

I would be interested in seeing a list of terroristic acts by Christians to compare to the list of terroristic acts committed by Muslims that Kaneman put up, not because I want to prove or disprove a point, just for curiosity's sake, if someone wants to go digging. Note that this list shouldn't include acts by entire countries against other countries, it should only include splinter groups and attacks of that ilk, as should the Muslim terror list if we are to make an accurate comparison. It should also only include the length of time included in the Muslim list.

I think its rediculous to call NATO a Christian organization, come now.

And DreamTrove, I don't know where you come to the conclusion that witches are burnt at the stake and killed on a regular basis in 21st century America, where do you get that? Do we have a problem in this country that none of the rest of us are aware of?

Africa.

I posted it earlier. Around 15,000 a year. It's pretty common. Not usually burned, they have all manners of execution for witches in Africa, but then they did in medieval europe as well.

My point being in part that people just don't think about Africa. But if you're going to include Bangladesh as part of the Muslim world, you also have to include Africa, as both part of the Muslim world and part of the Christian world.

We actually do have a problem in this country, but it's not witches. There are a few fundamentalists sects, and some looney individuals to kill people while attempting exorcisms and the like. While we pass these people off as random loons, my point was that in the muslim world press, they play the same way this sort of story about the muslim girl plays in the U.S.

To Wit: This is how those type of people are over there.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.
