It is true that the left lionized the right for praises of Bush of this manner, and the cult of Obama is already way passed that, and we're hearing this "But Bush did it." IIRC, the left made fun of Bush saying, every time he was doing something evil "But Clinton did it."

One standard fits all would be nice. I think you could get a show of hands on people on the right here who think that Bush was a total schmuck, if not downright evil.

Yeah, it's amazing how quickly people are running away from him NOW. It was only a few short years ago that there were quite a few on this very board who were saying that he was one of the BEST Presidents we'd ever had.

I think a big part of the pointing out "but Bush did it" is by way of pointing out how little of a problem those very same people had with the exact same behavior when it was being done in their guy's name.

Oh, and a great many of those very same people are STILL trying to run away from McCain. The funniest part is, they're actually running TOWARD Sarah Palin, thinking that McCain was the jokiest part of that ticket!

One standard WOULD be interesting. Which one, though?
