This one especially for Rue and Siggy...

Not sure how much of that conversation was public here, but one might recall we discussed long-term rebalancing therapy in a closed environment for folks with serious mental or behavioral disorders, yes ?

Of course, one of the reasons for that is that most of the folk I work with simply do not have access to medications which would work for symptom-abatement, and since many of the messed up people with deal with have issues that were iatrogenic since they were in part caused BY the medical psych/establishment and abuses thereof (See Also: Hellcamps) conventional means of treatment would set off defense reflexes and simply compound the damage.

Well, what we did not know is that someone else had also concurrently come up with the idea of closed-environment rebalancing as therapy, one Deborah Fein of the Univ of Conn, and our expert, Miss Lord, has confirmed the research is scientifically valid.

While not applicable in all cases, obviously, spotting the condition early and getting to it before the critical periods, followed up with rebalancing as a longterm therapy, has shown significant positive effects - and having a truckload of empirical data about such therapy working on non-autism disorders even long after the critical period, we're inclined to share it sans identifying details, and will do so.

It's nice to have some vindication once in a while, often as I get called a wackjob since my entire background on it is entirely practical rather than educational.

NIMH is also throwing about 60 million in funding at continuing research in the area, specifically WHY and HOW it happens, prevention and treatment possibilities, which is good news as well.

I would love to find out not only that, but yanno if we ever manage to find the hell out what the risk factors ARE for vaccine triggered/aggravated neuro disorders like late development autism and Guillain-Barre sydrome, that'd go a long way towards making them actually safe enough for everyone to use.

That's not a bash, mind - further research and followup seems to have identified that certain folk do, and certain folk don't, react like that, and if we can isolate WHY a certain small percentage of folk have a neurological short circuit upon vaccination with certain vaccines, and most especially what the exact cause of it is, that's not only the first step in treating those people, but also in preventing that from happening in the first place.

Which might, MIGHT, just dovetail with other autism research for treatments regarding naturally occurring autism/neuro disorders if the causations are similar enough, you know ?

Considering how far some folk have come on shoestring budgets and empirical research, a properly funded study by folks with the right damn credentials and education to get the most out of it, followed up by peer review, would be a freakin godsend, but better late than never!

Anyhows, I'd like your input, if you can spare any on the topic - and anyone elses who wants to throw two penniesworth on the table, mind.
