America loves a winner!

Cops sitting idly by while 2 repeat offenders who are here illegally are committing such a blatant crime is a problem, in my book.

There's just no way to account for a pissed off citizen when your plans are simply to allow the crime to occur and then " maybe " track down the criminals sometime later. The cops are trying to set up and air tight case, but while that is going on, people are getting victimized, having their homes broken into , their space "violated " , property taken from them, even their lives put in danger . What if there was a teenage girl at that home, alone, and these 2 thugs broke in and raped her ? If their intent was to rob the place, it's likely she'd then be killed, to avoid being of any use to the cops later on, so then the cops would have that on their head as well, along w / allowing the burglary to happen.

Kudos to Mr Horn. But the real issue here is poor police tactics which has let the community down and forced people to think they're all on their own against the thugs.

The problems, as I see them, are these...

1. Laws do nothing. If you intend to break a law, you are going to do it. Laws are only there to punish you, if you get caught. They don't stop crime or even deter it very much.

If someone wants to rob a home, they are going to do it. The smart ones figure out a way not to be caught, the stupid ones just go ahead without a plan. Same with rape, murder, arson ect ect.

Laws only punish AFTER the fact.

2. Cops cannot stop or catch everyone. Even if they were trying, they can't be everywhere at once. Usually, they are called in AFTER the fact.

So we are left on our own. Which is alright.

We are perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves, thank-you-very-much.

Just get rid of stupid laws (which are only meant to collect cash for the state), let us protect ourselves, and leave us alone.

Joe Horn was being a good neighbor, period.
