... but it bears repeating again....

As much as any of us bitch about the state of the Union...

It would mean a great deal to me if everyone would take a moment of silence for an un-partisan patriotic moment we can all share together and then post their love for America or for Freedom and Liberty if you don't live here. Citizens of America and ALL other nations may feel free to post about the idea of freedom and the basis for Democracy in our Republic and hope that our Founding Fathers had it right and that we may follow their lead and light the torch for the rest of the world and bring a new age of peace to us all.

May the stronger of us always be vigilant for ourselves and on behalf of the meek who cannot or will not find the ability within them to empower themselves and stand for themselves and for what is right.

This is not a thread to argue. This is a thread for all of us, no matter what our strong beliefs on any side, to be united even for one short moment in our solidarity in our beliefs in this ideal that we will all one day be free and that we'd be an example to live by.

Thank you all for being here. Our ability to still have such vast differing political opinions is what still makes this such a great nation. In China, with new technology and no laws governing against invasion of piracy, they might not be so lucky as we are.

May we one day find a balance where man can be safe enough that they can sleep at night without insomnia from the fear of terror, and do it in a way where we don't have to compromise everything that once made this nation great.

May scientists find a cure for autism and may that cure involve peanuts, cause peanuts get a bad rap. May rap music go out of style. May Radical Muslims embrace peace and be known for their radical interpretation to classic Russian liturature rather then for blowing themselves up. May May become April and April...May. AND FINALLY...May God have mercy on your soul.
