Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday the Iranians were "trying to demonstrate that they are tough."

Iran expert Andrew Hess, a professor of diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, Boston, said the missile tests were part of a campaign by Iran to assert its political power in the Gulf, where most of the world‘s oil is extracted.

German Defense Minister Franz-Joseph Jung pledged to support Israel and the international effort to keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons during a meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Amir Peretz in Tel Aviv Friday.

The two men spoke of their shared struggle against Teheran the morning after state news agencies in Iran reported that their country had tested a long-range missile, the Shihab-3, which has the ability to reach Israel and could have the capacity to carry a nuclear warhead.

If my neighbour had just been invaded I might be tempted to puff myself up too.

Definately a lot of grandstanding going on here.
Shooting off several rockets at once makes for pretty pictures and not much else.
Wonder if they all ended up all going in different directions.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I don't believe Blinken. And even if he were telling the truth, for once, I wouldn't care. Unless Iran develops intercontinental missiles, that's not my problem (NMP).

Blinken, Sullivan, and the rest of the neocons sense the Good Ship Biden is going down, so they're getting as much "done" beford their meat puppet leaves office. One of their "to do" items is "destroy Iran", another is "destroy Russia" (a work in progress) and one is "start WWIII"

Tick tock
