Huh...

I didn't even look at it this way before.

This one case could be the end of everything women have gained over the last century plus.

If it is legally deemed that a woman has no control over her hormones to the point that they can murder three of her own children before attempting suicide and have no agency to choose not to do that...

Well then maybe women shouldn't ever hold any position of power in the public or private market.

Maybe women should not be allowed to run for or hold office.

Maybe women shouldn't ever be allowed to have a job where they hold a firearm.

It's one thing to be Kathleen Kennedy and lose a company billions of dollars and destroy some of the most valuable IPs that ever existed.

That's the difference.

Men go haywire, and they pay a huge price for it. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

Nobody cares.

There are no male support groups. There used to be men's clubs, but those were all infiltrated by women decades ago. Before I was born, actually. Men, for the most part, used to work only with other men, but those spaces were all invaded by women. Mostly before I was born, but I watched it happen all the way up until I was in the workforce.

Women can have their own spaces all they want to. Men are not allowed to do so.

Although the modern Western woman has been the most privileged class of people who ever lived on the face of the planet since the dawn of time, they won't take accountability for anything. Women are never wrong, and on the extremely rare occasion that they admit the wrongdoing, as in this case, they can't be held accountable because they are a victim.

If it is held up in the court of law that a woman cannot be held accountable for THE MOST EVIL ACT ANYONE CAN COMMIT because of their hormones, they cannot trusted to be put in any position of power or authority.

Period.

If I had kids, I wouldn't even drop them off at a school where their teacher was a woman after that vote.

They better vote the right way. Or women are in a lot of trouble.

And if the Democrats want to have a prayer of ever winning the Presidency again, they'd better run a man. Both as President and VP. All negative campaign ads against women candidates will be bringing up events just like this one and asking the voters if they want a hormonal woman to have the nuclear launch codes.

People, male and female, go haywire for all kinds of biological and experiential reasons. PTSD. Schizophrenia. Bipolar disorder. Profound depression. Adrenal tumors. Asrenal supression. Childbirth. Brain damage.

To say that all men are mass murderers bc most mass murderers are men is just as stupid. People have to be evaluated individually for fitness for their role, whether it's motherhood or President.

We've been watching Monkey Life. It's a long -running series about a primate rescue center in Britain, covering at least 3 decades of the hundreds of chimps, orangs, gibbons, macaques, tamarins etc in their care. They try, to the best of their ability, provide the most naturalistic and healthy life for their primates, with big outdoor enclosures so it's not like they're all stuck in cages bored and stressed out of their minds.

The primate rescue facility has active breeding programs for some endangered species, and a few birth control failures along the way.

THERE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN A FEW INCIDENTS OF NEW MOMS REJECTING THEIR NEWBORNS, AND TWO OF POSTPARTUM MOMS ATTACKING THEIR NEWBORNS (AND IN ONE CASE, KILLING IT).

It's a real thing. Some of the females have NEVER made good moms, and reject or attack each new birth. Some make EXCELLENT moms, and will even adopt babies who've been rejected.

Nature isn't perfect. We are all, each of us individually, only more or less fitted for our roles in society.

I know you're not thick enough to misunderstand the repercussions of this case.

You think about it for a while, Sigs.

If we make legal precedent stating that women are instinctually driven animals that can't be held accountable for their monthly or postpartum hormones, up to and including sending the husband out for a LONG list of errands so she can take the time necessary to bring her terrified children down to the basement one at a time to choke them to death, nobody should ever have any reason to put women in any position of power in the public or private sectors again.

Nine years ago I was assigned to write a story about Donald Trump and the 25th Amendment. I was given the numbers of mental health professionals ready to say Trump was crazy. It was not to be quickie commentary; I was sent on the road to follow the president. As he was during the campaign, Trump was bombastic, paranoid, unpredictable, and occasionally even seemed to see or hear things that weren’t there. However, before filing, I spoke with lawyers, including a Fordham professor who’d help draft the original 25th Amendment bill. A president could only be removed, he said, for “inability,” not for “policy and political differences, unpopularity, poor judgment, incompetence, laziness or impeachable conduct.”

Weeks later, in an MSNBC green room, a Democratic aide complained about the article. I asked: if he were a juror judging Trump in a gas station robbery, would he vote not guilty by reason of insanity? “That’s different,” he said. This was at a time when it was widely expected that Trump would eventually be impeached for Russiagate. I told the man he couldn’t have it both ways, that Trump couldn’t be both criminally responsible and crazy. His answer: “If anyone can do it, it’s Trump.”

After the declaration of a mistrial in the horrifying Massachusetts murder case involving Lindsay Clancy, what is there to say, except to note how wildly inconsistent we’ve become in measuring concepts like “capacity” and “responsibility.” We’re a culture that doesn’t forgive, but quickly excuses. I don’t know what it means, nor do I understand how this case became a such a rallying cry for — something? What, exactly? How can “mental defect” have a lobby? What’s happening to people?

What is happening to people, indeed.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

SIX, yanno how I posted that unless someone is floridly psychotic .... seeing and hearing things that aren't there, unable to tell hallucination and delusion from reality ... that it's difficult to determine state of mind?

Well. I went online to medical journals to research postpartum psychosis. It's a real thing. It's not just the "baby blues", or profound postpartum depression, or extreme emotional turmoil and stress. Some women go floridly psychotic, just like some people develop schizophrenia. IF that's what happened, then IMHO she was not mentally capable.

There was a woman in Texas who drowned her five children. She was convinced she was saving them from, literally, a fate worse than death. Enternal damnation, IIRC. She was convicted of murder, but later judged to be not guilty by reason of insanity, and altho she can be released from the psychiatric hospital she's chosen ever since to continue to punish herself by refusing annual review.

So my question is, was that what happened here? Or did Clancy deliberately lay an insanity plea ahead of time?

Things I would be asking: What is the normal course of psychosis? In Yates's case, she had a history of postpartum depression and psychosis with previous births. Yates was on antipsychotics, not just benzodiazepines. Did Clancy have a similar hx? What happens with most women with postpartum psychosis?

How quickly do women usually recover from it? Again, in Yates's case, it took months of antipsychotics before she had a genuine appreciation of what she did. What about Clancy?

Clancy claimed to be hearing voices, but did she say that before she killed her children, or after?

How genuine was Clancy's suicide attempt? She cut her neck and wrists, but the cuts weren't deep. That's not unusual for suicides who start by cutting small. Yes, she jumped out of a second story window and wound up paralyzed, but was that just a miscalculation on her part?

I don't claim to know the answers, but I'd need to know them before I made up my mind. If she laid a trail of breadcrumbs ahead of time, then she's a truly evil person. Since I don't believe in the death penalty, life in prison would be my vote.

Now, here's YOUR big hypocrisy: You're horrified at the thought that someone could have so little empathy that they'd kill children.

And yet, you ROUTINELY call for killing all Muslims, women AND CHILDREN by the tens of thousands, if not millions.

Apparently you don't have empathy for children if they're brown. Only if they're white and their family reminds you of ... you.

Stop "thinking" with your hormones, SIX. You're irrational. Literally, you can't compare and ratio one opinion against another.

We just had a copycat murder in Illinois.

She needs to be made an example of, now. Women need to know that there is ZERO justification for murdering your children. And you will meet your maker if you do so.

End of story.

It should go without saying, but you fucking American college educated women are evil. So drastic measures need to be taken now.
