Some posters must make shit up because the truth doesn’t work for them. They misrepresent what other posters said or did not say.

I have said since day one, Trump would be a disaster for this country. I am being proven right every time Trump does something or even opens his mouth. Being anti-Trump never meant I believed everything other politicians said or did overall.

The posters who believe everything is 100% left or 100% right, are, well, morons.

From bananas to toys, these 5 charts show how much costs have risen since Trump’s tariffs went into effect

The Fed’s Beige Book survey in August said all regions were seeing tariff-related price increases, spanning sectors from food and retail to manufacturing and health care, with many businesses reporting they’ve started to pass those costs on to consumers.

Overall, Americans now face an average tariff rate of 17.4% — the highest since 1935 — an increase estimated to cost households an extra $2,300 in 2025, according to the Yale Budget Lab. (These estimates include tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which remain in place while the court challenge is pending).

I shouldn't have to explain, but I will, that Canada (for example), THE largest exporter of cattle to the USA, accounting for somewhere in the realm of 40-45% of USA imports, is itself experiencing a surge in beef prices.

You would think that if a good is tariffed, the exporting nation would retain more of its product and experience a glut and falling prices at home. That doesn't seem to be the case with Canada, which seems to be experiencing it's own national shortage, due to the same conditions as the USA. Remember all those big fires in Canada over the past 4 years or so? Kind of an indicator of how things have been going for Canada, weather wise.

Now, one thing I might opine that this could be the result of global climate change: shifting weather patterns causing prolonged multiyear drought and heat and over much of the northern hemisphere, along with spreading diseases like bluetongue and screw worm. . Beef, being the most input-intensive source of protein, is the canary in the coal mine and first to experience scarcity.

But that's just speculation.

THUGR, this was from your link

Now, in my long years of evaluating data, I would say that there's no DISCERNABLE trend in inflation post-tariff, other than to say that it hasn't gone down.

But, when has it EVER been 2%?. Given that the inflation rate wobbles quite a bit, the recent small uptick is well within normal variation, and only someone with an agenda and a very narrow microscopic focus would call it significant while ignoring the huge hump around 2022.

Economic policies take months or years, sometimes DECADES (like offshoring and killing Glass Steagall) to show up. If there's going to be a real discernable effect it should show up in 6 months or so, but so far the data's just not reflecting anything.

Give it time, son, and you may have something to talk about. Right now, it's just not there.

Inflation and Tariffs: Inflation has picked up since the tariffs were announced, with consumer price index data showing outsized increases in tariff-sensitive categories, including beef. The average tariff rate has increased to 17.4%, the highest since 1935, costing households an extra $2,300 in 2025.

Your long winded posts with you latching on to something, and completely getting it wrong are classic Signym. The other reasons you quote for high beef prices don't mean shit. This is not complicated. You don't need graphs or water shortage statistics to figure out what Trumps tariffs are doing. First, you have the price of something, in this case beef, add the cost of the tariff onto the product. In this case beef.

Even a child knows if you add 25% to the cost of something, then its cost goes up 25%. I'm laughing here because this is so simple. Again, even a child knows if American companies are paying the 25% tariff, some of that cost is passed onto the consumer; still laughing. By the way, in America it is called a tax. Trump raised everyone's taxes by raising the cost of everything they buy.

I can't believe how much time and energy you've put into two pages of this thread, arguing and defending Trumps tariffs. All the while saying they aren't killing American companies and consumers. He raised the price of everything, for business and consumer alike that has a tariff attached to it. Which is everything.

By how much did he raise our taxes? By the different tariff amounts attached to each product you buy or pay for. And more and more of those higher prices being picked up by our companies are passed onto us. I'm still laughing comrade, not really. This is a fucking nightmare.

Now, a tariff adds that amount onto the cost of a product. Regardless of other factors that may increase a price. A 25% tariff adds 25% to the cost. It's a sales, a consumption tax on the consumer. There's nothing to debate lass. If you think there is, ask a child to explain it to you.

And just a reminder. Trump is giving 2 trillion dollars in tax breaks to the top .01 percent. Where is he getting the money to replace his tax cuts for the rich? From tariffs, i.e. sales, consumption taxes of course. Also, by denying healthcare to millions, cutting NASA's budget by 47%, and so on and so on.

You know it takes a real moron to give an idiot an important job. And you did just that.

America saw ‘essentially no job growth’ last month, warns Moody’s, and any roles added were in three wealthy states

With official labor data suspended by the government shutdown, analysts are leaning on private sources—and they show a weakening jobs market. Moody’s Mark Zandi said September saw “essentially no job growth,” with gains limited to health care, education, and a few large states, while ADP reported payroll losses and Glassdoor noted slowing wage growth. Economists warn that without Bureau of Labor Statistics releases, the Fed is left making policy decisions through a “keyhole view,” raising the risk that conditions are worse than markets currently assume.

Trump didn't like the numbers, and he doesn't want anyone to see more. He was trying to block any more reports that weren't coming from his people. The shutdown helps with this.

Hey, here's a good topic, the job market. You can enlighten us all on how Trumps tariffs are helping the country with job creation. And I'm don't mean AI. That was happening way before Trumps current term and maybe mostly a job killer in the somewhat near future. But not yet.

The topics are from your list of things that Trump has done or is doing that I find fault with. Tariffs are one. I told you how they were hurting America. You like to muddy the waters, confuse things. Lecture me on Tariffs, blame other things for price increases. All of which avoids the facts about the tariffs.

After what seemed like a lifetime of explaining, you became defensive because I’m right. That, and because you call me son, I call you lass; too funny. So next, I broke it down to keep it as simple as possible. You became more upset.

It looks like I’ll have to break it down even further. Just so you can’t wiggle out and pretend you weren’t checkmated.

Tariffs have nothing to do with anything else that may also be driving up costs. We’re talking only about what Trumps tariffs are doing

A 25% tariff increases the price of the product by 25%. A sales tax.

That cost increase is shared by the seller and consumer. Explain how I am wrong.

You see, this is where your stupidity comes in.
Instead of ASKING "Are tariffs hurting America?" and trying to see if they are, someone has told you that it is a "fact" and you swallowed it whole.

I looked for evidence ... evidence that YOU specifically cited... in inflation, business failures, and beef prices... and found nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

So instead of insisting over and over again that "tariffs are hurting America", go find EVIDENCE ... numbers, facts, figures ... that prove your point.

How are Donald Trump's tariffs hurting America

Donald Trump's 2025 tariffs are having a wide-ranging impact on the U.S. economy, and experts are raising concerns about several key areas:

?? Economic Growth and Wages
The Penn Wharton Budget Model projects that Trump's tariffs could reduce long-run U.S. GDP by about 6% and wages by 5%.

A typical middle-income household may face a $22,000 lifetime loss, which is twice as damaging as a major corporate tax hike.

?? Trucking Industry Disruption
A new 25% tariff on imported medium and heavy-duty trucks is set to begin in November 2025. This could raise costs for transportation and logistics, which affects nearly every sector of the economy.

The trucking industry employs over 2 million Americans, and higher costs could threaten jobs and increase consumer prices.

?? Agriculture and Manufacturing Hit Hard
U.S. agriculture and durable manufacturing sectors are disproportionately hurt, with reduced output, lower employment, and rising prices.

Retaliatory tariffs from other countries are compounding the damage, especially in export-heavy industries.

?? Inflation and Investment
Tariffs are increasing inflation across multiple sectors, especially where global sourcing is critical (e.g., furniture, remodeling materials).

Reduced openness to international capital flows may lead to higher interest rates and lower investment, further slowing economic activity.

?? Global Trade Slowdown
The World Trade Organization forecasts a sharp slowdown in global trade growth in 2026, largely due to the delayed impact of U.S. tariffs.

Business and consumer confidence are weakening, and inventories are shrinking as companies brace for slower GDP growth.

Yanno what I heard in the video? Prices "ARE GOING TO" increase. It's an admission that they haven't yet.

Also, he's not accounting for prices that have DECREASED, like energy, gasoline, lumber medical care, eggs, and chocolate. Coffee has actually DECREASED, according to commodities exchange

If you cherry pick your data as hard as he does, you can "prove" anything. But the fact is that inflation, overall, hasn't really moved since tariffs.

What are toppling are subprime lenders.

It shows that poor Americans are barely hanging on.

Yanno, seriously dood, you need to get the big picture.

Ted has been thoroughly brainwashed into supporting the Elites like a good little drone.

Instead of seeing the class warfare they engage in everyday for what it is, he willingly subjects himself to their indoctrination and all he can do every single second of every single day is think TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP! TRUMP! while he lets them get away with whatever they want to, including rearranging everything inside his below-average and easily re-programmable brain.

Yes, prices have gone up. Businesses have shuttered their doors. And what I've been saying about it getting worse is, I repeat, is happening. Some more of the consequences are posted below. And wow the two of you look stupid. You can't recover from this shit because it is now becoming the headline everywhere.

I once held what seemed to be a perfectly rational belief: that even the staunchest supporters of Donald Trump would change their minds once his incompetence and hatred directly affected them. That logic tracked with the dominant narrative of the last decade, going back to when pundits first claimed that Trump supporters were motivated not by hatred but by something called “economic anxiety.”

Trump’s economy has now arrived, and it’s as catastrophic as the experts predicted. Despite his promises not only to curb inflation but also to bring prices down, there is no relief in sight, because Trump never had a plan for dealing with any of that. Housing remains out of reach for many, unemployment is rising, and, thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill Act, Medicaid is about to eject millions of recipients to help offset a budget-busting tax cut for rich people.

Across the country, Republicans are discovering that their loyalty was a one-way street. A red county in Maryland lost its badly needed FEMA aid. A Nebraska clinic closed due to imminent funding cuts. In North Dakota, Trump’s tariffs have cost soybean farmers the Chinese market. An Indiana cement factory lost a $500-million grant to reduce its carbon footprint because the administration doesn’t believe that climate change is real. And now, a government shutdown hinges on Trump’s refusal to provide subsidies to people on Obamacare — many of whom voted for him.

You still think Trump has your back and not big tech and the billionaires. Wow, you're blind to how you are being used. I’m not surprised. You brought a money pit that cost a fortune in time and money. Especially your time. How many back breaking hrs have you put into it, and at what rate of pay do you think you deserve for your time? And shit you are still trying to salvage it. Hint hint Gilligan, you can’t beat mother nature. Not in the long run.

You're going to eat shit for years to come over the Trumps handling of the economy.

I rarely ever talk about Trump, dude. Most days his name or face doesn't even register in my mind.

You don't get to put words in my mouth. You don't get to assume that you know what I think because you watch your clickbait and believe that everyone who doesn't agree with you is 100% in complete lock-step with somebody you don't like.

Trying to converse with you is like trying to have a productive conversation with a 5 year old. You possess zero critical thinking skills and you automatically believe whatever somebody tells you as long as it's what you want to hear.

And that is why you have 4 dozen tick tock threads to nowhere and every prediction you make never comes true.

Not because they lie to you, but because you've let them lie to you about everything for years and you never call them out on it, even after they've embarrassed you hundreds or even thousands of times by now.

You're a little creep and an internet bully, and 2025 is a very bad time for your species.

Keep right on doing what you're doing. It's only going to keep getting worse for you.

Like you are now after the guy you voted for destroyed our economy?

Get fucked dude. If we knew each other and were talking face to face instead of online, I'd have you hog tied and I'd be force feeding you your own literal shit right now you brainless little faggot.
