Hehe....

I've been offered on more than one occasion a job "patrolling" the internet, specifically facebook and youtube and other social media.

Obviously this would just be another short-lived job before computers are programmed to make me obsolete, but it pays rather well if you can sleep at night. My last offer was $15/hr to find outright illegal activity or to even point out what essentially boils down to "Thoughtcrime".

To anyone else looking for a job, go for it if it doesn't conflict with your sensibilities. If you don't do it, somebody else will. Decent paying jobs are hard to come by today

College Chemistry teacher and Medical Researcher riding bike on straight road in clear daylight, prepping for biking event, killed by bimbo texting while driving - who then tries to cover up by deleting her text.
Prosecution recommends 9 months.
Family of victim Davis does not agree.
I've thought that Texting While Driving should be prosecuted as Attempted Negligent Homicide, and then killing somebody would be Homicide, and then covering it up would rate more than 9 months. This was no "accident" unless she was forced to text while operating a Deadly Weapon.
How is this vehicle less egregious than a gun?

Local stupidity

Local family stole a tractor from a farm, and parked it in their garage. The tractor had an oil leak which painted a black line from the farm to their garage.

A man mugged a woman, and when she didn't have any money, he asked for a check. He gave his real name, and later cashed the check and was picked up.

Stone stupid. While it's common for people to call in the police if they've gone off the road drunk, it take special talent to report your drugs stolen. Once you done so, it's a bad idea to also ask the cops where they can find someone to look after the child they've abducted.

Particularly precious was a store owner who took out a huge insurance policy on his store. When the building across the street was set ablaze in an arson, as a distraction, thieves broke into the store. That distraction brought a dozen firefighters and half a dozen cops, who could all see someone robbing the store in the dark of night. The went over and arrested the man in ski mask and black jumpsuit, and caught him red-handed with thousand of dollars of stolen merchandise. The thief said "you don't understand, this is my store" but they understood all too well. He had decided to rob the store himself, and told his lawyer.

I can't find these without the stupid commentary.
