Our children are weird. :blush: They LOVE Firefly (better than Serenity, but they'll watch it). They watch it in the other languages too. Have you ever watched it in French or Spanish? I have. I don't understand it but they do.

Any way, we were watching Serenity and my 5 yr old wanted to watch Firefly all day if I would let him. (His 2 yr old brother wanted to watch Pirates of the Carabean 2 in French.) You know that one scene towards the end where Serenity is flying through debris, Reavers, Alliance trying to get to Mr. Universe? Well, once during the movie and once during the out-takes my 5 year old told me he wanted to get an xbox game just like the one that Wash was playing. LOL. I told him I didnt think they had one :disappointed: but he insisted that we were going to buy one. I told my hubby and he thought it would make an excellent xbox game.

I don't know. I don't like the idea of out running Reavers, I would probably get :hanged: all the time :pissed: . Any way. It's a great Idea and I wish that we could help somehow to make it a :censored: reality for a strange child. They understand death, life fiction and non fiction for the most part. I wouldn't suggest it for all 2-5 year olds. But the adult lovers would go ape over an xbox game with Firefly/Serenity themes. I mean think about the "missions" that you could play. Think about screwing up and getting a glimpse of what could have happened? Like Mal getting shot again by The lady Mayor?

There has got to be someone that I can pass this onto? Who knows, maybe my boys can meet someone involved with the movie?

Maybe you should think about playing a simplified version of the Serenity RPG with your kids. I mean, yes, they are a little young, and therefore, you may have to hold their hand for the game a little, but I tell you, letting a kid use their imagination for games, especially at a young age will be UNBELIEVABLY development. I bet you your kid'll be applying to Yale or Harvard in 15 years or so.

Uhh... that's not a legal contract though. :biggrin:

i am so very new to the web site. I am :stupid: and dumb too I admit it. You will have to explain to me what RPG is and where do I look for it? websites, stores..whatever.

:kiss: also I look foward to the day we yell at our children to stop talking about us in diff languages. I thought the day would never come, but he is already using some sign language that I dont know. Maybe I should quit :vomit: kaveching about how much the ear worm childrens song are and start paying more attention to the signs they are learning! we have a friend who he and his wife between them speak 11 languages. They switch throughout all languages in their conversations so noone can follow their conversation. He has told us stories about how someone will be listening and then the confused look they give when they switch and then someone else listens then they get confused when they switch again. LMAO It's funny.

RPG = Role Playing Game.

It's sort of hard to explain what it is, and I think the book would do a good job of it.

I have lots of designs on the "drawing board" for more games, even working on one called Fruity Oaty Bar: the Card Game. ;) BWAH! is by far the number one game I've produced, even my kids play it!

I once had an idea for a game where you would play as the Reavers OR the Alliance, and Serenity would move on her own to Mr. U's HQ (acting as the "timer" for the battle), but not so much with the idea of simply outrunning Reavers). Anything you want to suggest, or would like to see in the card/board game realm, I'd certainly entertain working on.

i thought of an idea. take the game of memory and put pictures on them and make one picture have english and the cooresponding picture have the chinese equivelant. or do french and spanish. the boys would adore that.
