The t-shirt that Jayne wears during the episode "the Train Job" contains the Chinese word yong, which means 'soldier' or more commonly 'brave'. As far as I know, no one has produced these for our enjoyment.....anyone else know??

HELL'S KITTEN

Hallo!
While I didn't make these for everyone's enjoyment, I did make a few for mine. Selfish, I know, but what can ya do?

The aforementioned thread was started by me, and I was surprised to see that people are still posting to it. (Sorry!)

Warning: it's a huuuuuuge thread, with a good amount of graphics, so it may take a while to load.

The first post has most of the pictures of shirts I've made with iron-on transfers of the graphics I re-created.

BTW did you ever send those shirts to Joss?

I think the Blue Sun Shirt site got shut down because they were too much linked, when you google Blue Sun they are the very first site listed,
and when you get there you are looking at Firefly screen caps (which pretty much makes the connection hard to miss).

But the shirt above with just a Chinese character on it,

or the t-shirt with the shoulder design

or the 'pin up picture'

could probably be sold with no trouble, I don't think the lawyers at Fox have actually watched the show or know what the shirts look like...
it is just when it is so painfully obvious that they can't miss it that one gets in trouble!

even these two, more famous shirts:

wouldn't be recognized by Fox unless they were at a website that announces openly that they are from Firefly and worn by Jayne....

Lovely work Hells Kitten. I'm a big fan of the corset in particular. Do you go to any cons with the stuff that you make. I know somebody else who makes their own clothes for cons. They tried to get me out to it, but I have yet to ever go to one myself.

Ha, no, I never sent those shirts to Joss. I chalk it up to him humoring me, the dear man. Either that, or I really did get my email address wrong. Both are very likely the case.

Yeah, I'm not worried about FOX or C&Ds or anything like that. Quite simply, I'm not selling anything. I may offer the graphics for free, though.

At any rate, yep. I do, on occassion, wear my things to various cons. Although, I really don't go to many. Dragon*Con is probably the biggest one I attend. Then there are other little cons where I can wear my stuff yet still easily blend into the crowd. Sneaky like a ninja, I am. But I digress.

Well. Anyways. All "mischief" - were it to exist - would be safely hidden on Flickr, visible only to certain contacts.
