6ixStringJack: Yeah. Those pads ought to help. I think because you're on a tiled floor and not a carpeted floor you shouldn't have any issues getting it back where it belongs on your own. Don't know if that would have been enough to help you if you were on carpet though. |
6ixStringJack: Better to stay away from stuff like Codeine even, and even though that an vicadin were the powerful stuff when I was in my early 20's it's kid pills compared to the addictive stuff they prescribe for pain today. |

Brenda: Yeah, there is a Walmart by me. I will take a look for them and I should be able to do that on my own. |
Brenda: As close as I've come to something heavy was years ago when I had a bad cough that just wasn't going away. Told my doctor at the time what I had been using and she prescribed a cough medicine with codeine in it. Only thing I discovered about that it didn't work for me. Cough went away. But I can't use codeine, doesn't do anything for me. I still feel like crap. Doc called it some sort allergy. My brother's the same. |
Brenda: Been there and done that with sleeping on the neck wrong. Got a case of that happening now. |

6ixStringJack: I think you could probably do that and use your foot to kick them in place under the legs. At 3.5x6" long, you'd have a lot of room for error and I think you could probably manage just a minor lift at each corner and kick it under them. |
6ixStringJack: Do you have a walmart by you? These would make moving it around a lot easier , but only if you are able to manage to lift a foot high enough to get them underneath.

6ixStringJack: Huh... Never got sleepy on OTC pain stuff before. Only had 2 prescription pills in my life and said I was never doing those again because I knew straight away now easily I could get addicted to them if I kept using them. That wasn't a sleepy feeling either, but it was as if a lifetime of aches and pains just went away in an instant and were gone for the rest of the day and I walked around like I was 13 years old again. |
6ixStringJack: Yikes. Yeah. Sleeping on it wrong is the worst. I think that's what I did for a prolonged period a few weeks back and once I did that it seemed like it would be fine for a day but I'd just move it wrong or do something and bring it right back. Been good for a few days now. |
Brenda: Doesn't look like it. I tried the bumping method and shoving it with my hands. Didn't do much. |
Brenda: I don't like pain meds either. They have or used to have a tendency to put me to sleep, especially if I take them during the day. I keep a little tylenol on hand just in case. But yeah. I figure as long as I can get some heat on what is hurting and get some sleep, I'm usually good the next day. |
Brenda: Yup, messing with your neck is no fun. And for me it is worse because of the brain surgery. That left my neck muscles weakened, so when my neck is in the wrong position. Yeah. |
6ixStringJack: So you can't budge the bed at all on your own, even by bumping it with your body or anything then? Let me think on that. |
6ixStringJack: Know what you mean about the pain too. I don't ever take pain meds, but I had some old ibprofrin lying around that my aunt gave me years ago and ended up taking 3 pills over that time. That's the cool thing about not taking meds and being sober for so long. They REALLY worked, and almost instantaniously. Just one tiny ibprofrin and in 5 minutes the pain was gone, just like that. |
6ixStringJack: Oh no... I was doing something wrong myself and screwed up my neck just a few weeks back. Feeling good now, but on and off for about 10 or so days I'd wake up and for about an hour I could hardly turn my head to the right and I told my old man I felt like Michael Keaton in his batman suit. |
Brenda: I hope I can get some help because my neck is starting to complain. And trust me when I say you do not want your neck going out. Hurts like a son of a b. |
Brenda: Oh, trust me when I screw up big time, I can turn the air blue with my cursing too. |
6ixStringJack: Yeah. Get it moved back when you get some help and get yourself some nice baking pillow(s) and you should be good. |
