Even though I've only posted a few of myself, I just don't get tired of looking at what a great looking group we are on these threads! (Okay self not necessarily included, but please no posts about how yes, I am; I'm not fishing for compliments.) Such fair maidens, such handsome menfolk. Plus we're all bright, witty, creative, dashing and charming and caring: We are a frakin' drool fest for the senses. I feel sorry for anyone who isn't one of us who might run into a group of us. We'd swallow them whole with our sheer magnificence!

"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

No prob., hun. He is, well sort of. Not as much as I am, but he does like the show and the movie so that's enough for me. He just wouldn't go online and talk about it with anyone or wear the merchandise or watch the episodes and movie over and over like his nutty lil wife.

Holy musketeers batman!

Seriously Tristan, those are some awesome photos. I love the look and feel of the renaissance swordsman thing, and you look boss with long hair and a goatee.

So what exactly are you portraying in those photos? I'm gonna take a guess and say 17th c. French, though I'm not well versed in that time period in Europe. Maybe it's even more specific than that?

Whatever the case, it comes off well, and it's cool that your wife was up for getting married like that. If I ever got married (not happening) I'd want to wear my family tartan during the ceremony.

Thanks, CMH!
It was a blast of a marriage...too bad it didn't last long, though.
The ex was also invovled in Drama, and we decided to have a production of a wedding...and boy, did we! I made most of the costumes, including the wife's dress. And you hit it dead on...I was aiming for Cavalier period. And I really miss my hair...had to cut it for the Real World job of riding a desk.
Ah, see, I'd love to get dressed in the Tartan from my mother's side...Armstrong. Hmm...maybe the next time I get married, I'll do that!

Thanks for the comments!

-EDIT-
MrSellars! Very debonair-looking in that suit!

MrSellars, sharp suit! It's a theme people, shiny Browncoats.

Tristan, I love those wedding pics! What a great idea to go with a theme for your wedding. Sorry it didn't last, but you got some awesome pics. I so wish I did something like that at my wedding, wanted to, but the parents got a little stuffy about it. I love your garb, you look great with long hair and the goatee.

Well, I'll show a couple of mine just cause I'm getting all wedding nostalgic now. *sniff, sniff* I really wish I could find one of us all circle skaa dancing. I looked pretty funny, lol!

Evening, all!
Sorry I have not been posting, but my connection went weird at home...seems to be working now, though.

MrSellars, yes, yes I am! I am having a leather source issue right now, but I do make them.

Roxy, I chalk it up as yet another learning experience. And because of the costumes I made, I was able to add to my portfolio...so it was not a complete loss!
Your wedding looked like it was a lot of fun! I love the dress...and the fact that you could swing dance it it impresses me to no end!

Hell's Kitten, again, not only are you stunningly beautiful, you are one hell of an artist when it comes to taking photos. *sigh*
I found some older pics, and am working on scanning them...maybe I can get some posted tonight.

ShinyYukari, I love the dress! I hope Homecoming was fun?

Alright, alright, I'll try to take a picture of myself in my new hat (no, it isn't a Jayne hat, but it's very warm and fuzzy and black) But I have to get home first. Also, there might be a better camera in my house soon, and I will get the old one, but will still try to use the new one. But hey, if I can't, at least I'll have my own camera!

No, it's not that short, it's just bad. Usually when I ask for a shaggy layered cut it looks really good and gives me some body, so I don't know what happened this time; it looks flatter and thinner than it did before and I hate it.

Thanks, all...

I don't usually bop around in a Tux, but that was in the French Quarter (pre-Katrina) for a good friend's birthday shindig. Trust me, we ALL interrogated the buffet table...There were even strawberries and some kind of melted cheese...

Tristan-- Have you ever done one of the coats with a zip out lining? I live in an area where it can tend to get a bit cold in the winter. Just wondering...Either way, as soon as you get your supplier issues taken care of I'd like to talk to you about placing an order.

Since we still seem to be tossing pics up, here I am back in NOLA post-Katrina, working on a cleanup crew at a cemetery. Clothes weren't quite so shiny.

It was, in a word, awful... Another author and I were on tour together when the levee broke and we watched it on CNN--horrified not only due to the scope of the disaster, but also because we have several friends living there.

We ran an auction that raised 10K+, then loaded my truck with physical donations (water, food, clothing, etc) and drove down from STL. Spent 10 days doing cleanup, then returned home terribly depressed by everything we witnessed.

Fortunately, the city is coming back. Slowly, but it's happening...

And, yes...The overalls were a lot more comfy!

ok, riffling through all the collected stuff in my room, (you know how it is, you go in to sort and chuck out and end up three hours later wearing three different shades of lipstick and giggling like a maniac at photo's of yourself in collage?) I found these, I thought it might make phoenixRose feel better about her hair.

Ok, pissed at two am the morning i moved down to college, yes, i did ask the hairdresser for that cut

but never fear, it started to grow back (one year later) (i'm the one in the peach monstrosity)

and back (last year of college, budgets no longer ran to hair dye)

Of course by that time i'd got sick of how long it was and had started wearing it back all the time.

And these one made me giggle -

Helen as a wee bairn, in the sexiest dress she's ever owned -

and why motherhood is really not an option

(I did that the entire time she was in my arms - its my cousin Elizabeth by the way - and didn't sit down again the rest of the day through fear that they'd make me hold her again.)

And just check the soft furnishings.

Joy.

Hey, I just came across an old disk I have of me doing REALLY stupid things when I was 13-14 years old! Wanna see!?

Me jumping from a ladder

Me back flipping onto someone who isn't there anymore

Me jump kicking a friend in the back

Me doing a back bridge

Me fighting Batman

Me body slamming a large friend

Me posing... so much potential at 13 years old, all gone to waste :(

If anyone subscribes to the "Live fast, die young" philosophy, make sure you actually die young. Growing old with injuries is painful.
