Looks like I missed a great con here Was Dragon Con in NYC? (Feeling dumb)

Someone invited me to a Con, Council of Five Nations. It was a mess of mixed messages, and ended in nothing happening, I was thinking of going to Albacon, same weekend, being this weekend, 10/9-10/11.

Council of Five nations is gaming convention and Albacon is a Fantasy/Science Finction writer con. Both are medium smallish. Albacon gets known writers.

Con thoughts? Oh, and anyone going to, thinking about going to Albacon or Council of Five Nations?

Actually, they don't have Jessica Alba and then con her into doing everyone. It's not like a Feliciacon.

Actually there was an Amandacon where the purpose of the convention was to worship Amanda Tapping. Ms. Tapping thought that it was a normal convention and was a little nervous when she actually showed up.

Reading about Australian actors and their experiences, it actually sounds a lot more sane. It goes somelike this: So you were Chiana. That's cool. How was it working with Henson, and being all grey and stuff? Rather than the American response which was OMG! It's Gigi Edgley! (Crowd charges.)

Anyway, wikipedia says it's the largest Con in upstate NY, it's fantasy and Sci-fi, but with more of a writer's slant. I was hoping to split a room or something to defray costs.
