They went all out, balls to the wall. They didn't spare any expense. Once that thing hits the air, man, I am always thrilled. Always. -- Nathan Fillion on the Firefly production

6ixStringJack: This was always my favorite Kid Rock song... [go to link] Of course, there are lyrics in there that I can't actually fully understand having never walked in the man's much larger shoes, but a lot of our struggles really aren't all that different from each other's in the end, no matter what other people think about your circumstances. Most people don't understand these things because they're "Chorus" people. The older I've gotten the more I realize I don't want to waste much more time with Chorus People. I want to get to know more about all of the other ones that knew all the lyrics years before you could just ask Google and bring them up on your phone.
6ixStringJack: Feels like an alternative universe when Kid Rock is more popular with people my dad's age than he is my own. Not that my old man could even name one of his songs, but even though I'd rate some of his stuff fairly highly, I don't think he's put out anything I'd ever have on my mp3 playlist in at least 20 years now. I was listening to that dude back when all we were worrying about was Y2K. Seems like 3 lifetimes ago now.
6ixStringJack: Bah... I let the Sports people have their fun. I even stopped giving my old man and friends shit for going back to Football after they all said they'd boycott it. I only knew one other dude besides me who would stand by that, and he died pretty young. My old man enjoys football. I don't want to take that away from him. He's looking forward to the alternative halftime show tomorrow, but without the Bears there I don't know if he's even going to bother to watch the game.
Brenda: I don't even know I don't think who Seattle will be playing on Sunday. Not that it means much. News from Washington State and even up here will be full of it. I will be telling the sports people to shut up about the game.
Brenda: Well, Seattle is super hyped about it. There's even going to be a big watch party believe it or not . I think news said up in Kelowna. Very strange. But yeah. My corner of Canada and Washington State are going bananas.
6ixStringJack: I don't care one way or another, but it's a shame. It would have been quite a bit exciting for a lot of people around here if the Bears were playing and I'm sure there would have been plenty to do and some good food to go along with it.
6ixStringJack: I like hanging out with people while it's playing, but I don't really pay attention when I do. Nobody is really psyched about it this year, at least around me, and one of the people I've hung out with in the past is going somewhere else with the whole family to watch it at some party. The Bears were damn near in it, and I think everyone around here is bummed out that it didn't happen.
Brenda: Football, SIX? No thank you. I don't even bother with the Grey Cup. That's sort of the Canadian equivalent of your Super Bowl. Not quite as flashy but people up here will put on their favourite teams jerseys and get their faces painted. Travel to get to wherever it is being.
6ixStringJack: So... I take it you have no interest in watching the Superb Owl on Sunday either, huh Brenda?
6ixStringJack: So... I take it you have no interest in watching the Superb Owl on Sunday either, huh?
6ixStringJack: You are a child, Theodore.
THG:
Brenda: Like I said Sunday is best for me as I can give that or my writing my full attention as I am not doing anything else.
6ixStringJack: Nice Brenda. I'm looking forward to Sunday then.
Brenda: I figure this Sunday for the test to make sure I got it. *fingers crossed* No worries when I get to it I will let you know what happened.
Brenda: Yeah, best to have 3 copies of my book at least. I have a hard copy of it. Printed out but I don't remember why now. Not important.
Brenda: That's what I figured from what the lady was telling me. She wasn't sure but I took a guess. That's no worries.
6ixStringJack: Please try to act your age and not your IQ, Theodore.
