Holy cow! The little button on the left looks very much like a sepia photograph. I know I've told you before, but you are amazingly talented and if you started selling these, I'd buy them!

Thanks, guys, I really had to work at this one to get just the right light and dark balance. This one took about six hours off and on...

I used a darker base tone on this one then the others I think it came out pretty good--I also used conte' crayon for the white instead of chalk, the crayon is much softer the chalk and gives it a richer white

Stunnig. Looks just like a photograph image of them in sepia tone. A big thumbs up from me.(What am I now? Ebert and Roeper?)

I know someone else has already said this before me...

But i still mean it just the same:

Dear Buddha, I want a plastic rocket, a pony and you're gorram talent...

Maybe just a tiny bit of it, it would still be amazing... great job

Yeah this is nice. Is this a photoshop'd screencap or drawn/chalk/something freehand?

Saturday, January 21, 2006 6:12 PM

MPHILLIPS

Hand drawn on cason sepia paper from a screen cap ..I drew the whole thing in graphite first, sprayed it with a fixitive, then started with the whites, gradually building them up. This technique work best with a high contrast picture like this one and when the light is from above.

Holy Canoli! This is my new favorite image of yours. It's replaced your drawing of River post-Reaver massacre as my desktop.
