Awww! Cute! I love their faces! Kaylee looks so peaceful. And Inara's smile is very nice, too. Great job!

I cant decided which I like better, just pen and ink, tones, or color. Course we know what my favorite is, but this is still superb.

Since I gave you a lot of positive feedback in the past I'll go into nitpick mode this time ;-)

- Inara grins like she had smoked pot (a bit too broad)
- Inaras breasts should be more articulated (seriousy)
- Are the black things in the background their shadows or other people?
- The thing on Kaylees neck looks like a dogtag or a cowbell

This is why I gave it "just" an 8 this time. After all, you want to improve, don't you? ;-)

If you do colorize it be sure to post it . I'd be interested to see what someone can do with my black and white stuff

I love this scene! I think you've caqptured them beautifully. The sisterly feeling from the moment in the show is very apparent. This might be my favorite! Great Job!

inara's smile DOES look slightly altered...but only slightly. only flaw in an otherwise perfect image

b

p.s. you still get a 10 *grin*

To address what CBY said (if I may phillips)
- The necklace Kaylee wears in this scene is longer and thinner and has definite corners and so your rounding of the top may be what makes it look like a cow bell (interestinly this is right after the dead bessie cow scene... go figure)
- The black things are two other people and their shape is about right. maybe if you gave them a few brushstrokes of detail it would clear up any confusion about them being shadows.
- Inara is wearing a dress in this scene that actually flattens her chest so it doesn't look articulated... Mphillips got it right.
- I concur Inara's smile is a bit too wide but maybe its her face itself is a bit wide... also i notice one of her smile lines is missing (the cheek line that starts at the corner of her mouth and points up to to her nose). It is correct on her right side but not on her left (it points up to her cheek instead of back to her nose) and this may also be why her smile looks wide. She has smile lines on both sides in the scene.
These are minor nitpicks really, what you have done is captured Kaylee's feeling in this scene perfectly.
