Here is Wydraz's interpretation of the 'Verse. Be kind, he knows there are many other interpretations! :)

This will come in use...

Uh... I didn't get the impression that we were dealing with 5 systems. :\ Why did you set it up that way? And how do they relate on the Z-axis? Just curious...

I thought the official RPG guide actually has a layout... ;)

Thanks. This was based on the rather fuzzy version of the map from the Serenity RPG (says so right at the top).

This is actually very close to the map out of the RPG book... but the book map has no names. I like it. I like the multiple stars or inginted gas giant idea

lol, and now I see the "Based on the rpg map" alrighty then

it's too bad it doesn't show Miranda! Otherwise, it's the map I've been waiting for since "Firefly" was caned!

Miranda's in the upper left corner

This will come in very useful for my serenity version of risk

I still want to understand how this is one system. I admit, I don't have the RPG book, so I'm going off what I've heard everywhere else. And why do I think this'd be simpler as a top-down view? Otherwise, cool, it's my desktop image, too!

UnchartedOutlaw -- "I still want to understand how this is one system"

It is a system of stars and planets. All the outer stars orbit the central star. There is even a line in the original shooting script (in the Serenity Visual Companion) that indicates that the system is composed of "stars, planets and moons". No clovers, hearts, or diamonds, though...

And this is the last time I address the issue. Everyone is welcome to use their own interpretation of the 'Verse. I've just accepted the version in the PRG book, and clarified it for those that might agree.

Lord, I have the visual companion and I missed this? Dang, I'm sorry GF. What you've done is shiny and I totally appreciate it!

As an example of multiple star systems... Castor in the Gemini constellation is a set of 3 binaries... 6 stars all together... a binary is 2 stars spinning around each other... 2 of Castor's binaries orbit around each other and the 3rd binary has a large orbit around that. So it's possible to have a set of stars that are gravitationally bound to one central star. But this picture doesn't jive with the picture of the 'verse in the film at the beginning which showed concentric orbits of about 18-24 planets. I got that Visual Companion on order and am waiting with baited breath for it's arrival.

Tensen01, Thanks for pointing Miranda out. I guess I need new glasses!

Nice map ... physically impossible to have planets in a multi-star system, but still a nice map. Thanks!

May I have permission to use this map for a school project? I have neither the time nor skill to create my own, and I'm not required to, but I will certainly give full credit to you for this if I have permission. Thanks!

From the "Serenity by Gaslight" thread, this is a retouch of the image of the galley with the third wall re-added (where there was a gaping hole on the right -- the wall they removed while shooting to place the cameras).
