BLUE SUN ROOM FAN FICTION - GENERAL

REGINAROADIE

Friends Survey-Shooter
Friday, October 28, 2005

Inspired by the wave of "Friend Survey" fanfics, I decided to revisit Shooter and throw my hat into the ring. Takes place pre-YCGHA.

CATEGORY: FICTION    TIMES READ: 3176    RATING:     SERIES: FIREFLY

To: Shooter

From: Kaylee

Subject: Friends Survey

1. What is your occupation? Wedding videographer

2. What color is your underwear? Yellow. But initially white. I should probably change it before I head off to this next wedding.

3. What are you listening to right now? Some new music by a maritime band whose concert I went to last night. Some real good stuff here. Particularily their rendition of “General Taylor”. I get the sense that song will come into play very soon.

4. What was the last thing you ate? Currently eating some deep fried shrimp at the bar where I’m responding to this.

5. Do you wish on stars? Sometimes.

6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Black.

7. How is the weather right now? A bit windy, but I love summer in New Melbourne. When the salt air hits you the right way, it just recharges you.

8. Last person you spoke to on the phone? My bride’s mom to get directions.

9. Do you like the person who sent this to you? Of course. She’s my #1 bride.

10. Name three things other than office supplies/computer/laptop that are on your desk right now: Bar drink, napkin, camera that’s recharging its battery.

11. Favorite drink? In a bar, a rum and Blue Sun Coke, with emphasis on the Coke. On the go, a sugarless Red Bull. No wine. I’ve sipped too much bad wine at these weddings.

12. Another MIA one ... how about any tattoos? No, but I wouldn’t mind getting one of a really good rock band logo.

13. Have you ever dyed your hair? I used to dye it blonde every Halloween. But kinda got out of it when I couldn’t afford it anymore.

14. Do you wear contacts or glasses? Glasses.

15. Who do you think Jennifer Aniston should marry next? Don’t really care. Just so long as I get the contract for her wedding.

16. Favorite month? Depends on the planet. Personally, I love the month that the first snowfall happens on any Core planet. Something about falling snow in a big city is just beautiful.

17. Favorite food? Any food is good enough for me. 18. What was the last movie you watched? Of mine, my last wedding video. Of an actual flick, a Chinese dub of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. Yes, amazingly enough, it’s still being played in cinesiums 500 years later.

19. Favorite day of the year? Opening day of the Osiris Intergalactic Film Festival. They have the widest selection of films made across the ‘verse all in one place.

20. What do you do to vent anger? Croon to some of my music tracks. Singing only to myself helps me relieve tension.

21. Favorite Toy as a child? My first digital camera my folks bought me for my 6th birthday.

22. Fall or Spring? Fall.

23. Hugs or kisses? Any physical contact is good for me. (jk) I’m so lonely.

24. Cherry or Blueberry? Cherry.

25. Do you want your friends to email you back? Fuck yeah. Tired of getting junk in my InBox.

26. Who is most likely to respond? Kaylee

27. Who is least likely to respond? Any of my pissed off brides.

28. Living arrangements? Never in the same place twice. I’ve developed a fondness for couches.

29. Last time you cried? A few years ago, after a bride who I thought I did a good job with told me I failed as a human being.

30. What is on the floor of your closet? What closet?

31. Who is the friend you have had the longest? Kaylee, I guess. But I occasionally run into some film buddies of mine and hang out.

32. What did you do last night? Met with my latest bridal party, went to an outdoor concert of this really great maritime band. Had the most fun in a long time.

33. Favorite smells? Fresh cooking, chlorine, I dunno. I work in a medium in which smell is the least focused on sense.

34. What inspires you? A great movie, a great piece of music, seeing true love blossom and being there to get it on dv.

35. What are you afraid of? Pissed off brides, their moms, their families, personal failure, of never experiencing what I can only watch.

36. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers? Spicy cheeseburger.

37. Favorite car? Not much into cars. Any transport will do for me.

38. Favorite dog breed? More of a cat person.

39. Number of keys on your key ring? None. Carry all my stuff with me, so key’s are unnecessary.

40. How many years at your current address? More like days. 3.

41. Favorite day of the week? Any weekend where I’m not booked and have time to myself.

42. How many states have you lived in? Stayed in one place all my childhood, but all over in my adult life. Good balance.

43. Are you happy? If this latest wedding doesn’t turn into another fiasco, yes.

44. Where would you like to move? I’m constantly in motion. Anywhere that has a decent film community.

45. If there is another question you'd like to add ... do it here! Will I see you guys again? Here’s hoping.
