The Ballad of Firefly

by Lux Lucre

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale

A tale of a fateful trip

That started from this core world port

Aboard this shiny ship

The mate was a mighty fightin' gal

The Captain brave, but coarse

Ten passengers and crew set out

to the planet of Boros, the planet of Boros

The journey started getting rough

with reavers and a fed

If not for the courage of the fearless crew

They'd be among the dead, They'd be among the dead

The ship's on the run from federals in

Uncharted barren space

With Malcolm R, The first mate, Zoe

Kaylee and Wash, Jayne and Book.

Inara and

with Simon and River Tam

Here on Firefly

So this is the tale of our brave outlaws

They'll run for a long, long time

They'll have to make the best of things

It's an uphill climb

Capt. Malcolm and his shiny crew

Will do their very best

To make the others comfortable

In their creaky spaceship's nest

No shiny parts, no good fresh food

Not a single frippery

But they can live on packaged foods

With lots of rosemary, with lots of rosemary.

So join us here each week, my friends

You're sure to get a smile

From nine outlaws that make their way

Here on Firefly
