West Coast Browncoats / East Coast Browncoats

The classic play on the now-infamous West Coast Choppers logo. I'm kinda suprised no one's done this yet. I'm thinking of making it available on my cafepress site, but it might cross the trademark line. Feel free to download and play with it as you like! I definitely need to add a mid-west one and other regions, too!

It *might*, but still cool.

You are protected to a degree under certain "satire" and "parody" laws.

But it does get fuzzy when copyrighted images become involved, though I think you are safe because you did not, for example, put "West Coast Choppers" logo onto say, the hull of Serenity. (Which would potentially violate 2 copyrights).

I don't know the law verbatim, and do my best to avoid such things, but then again, look at my political parodies. :)

UO as Wash and Two Students as River & Kaylee
Two of my sophomores were really into the movie and so we all conspired to come as Serenity characters!

UO as Wash
Here's my Halloween costume. A very simple Wash.

Serenity Reviews by My Students
Such a joy to see both as a teacher and a browncoat! They saw the movie, wrote reviews, and got extra credit! :D

Firefly Rattle - Browncoat Babies!
The wife unknowningly bought this for a friend who just had a daughter. I had to hold back the smile and laughter when she brought it home. You too can convert your babies to browncoats!

MWA: Straight Outta Canton!
I noticed some interesting parallels and created this up in Photoshop...look for the MWA thread and then the lyrics in filk!

Blue, Blue Sun! The Conclusion!
I'm seriously starting to think that there's some subliminal messaging happening in that picture Sue painted. Does anyone feel anything weird? Does it look like some Chinese character?

Blue, Blue Sun! Smell the Poppies!
The more I look at these last couple pages, I wonder if some of Blue Sun's first experiments with psychic powers were based on genes derived from flowers grown on a terraformed planet.

Blue, Blue Sun! The Conspiracy is Here!
I could not believe my eyes when I saw this book. Sue is a very evil girl. I am simply surprised she didn't get out that stick thing and kill Bruce!

Blue, Blue Sun! The Story Unfolds!
So I actually flipped through that phonics book my wife has for her classroom! OMG! It's gorram amazing what they're teaching our kids these days!

Blue, Blue Sun! Our Take on Phonics!
My wife's about to start teaching 2nd grade and was given loads of little phonics books. I got home from work today and this one caught my eye! Oh my gawd, what are they teaching our kids in the public schools these days!?!?
