Do YOU want a copy of THIS game for FREE?
Wednesday, September 29, 2004

...but that's not why I am postin' it! WHy I am posting it is because I want to know who all is interested in getting this game for free. :) I can post the images for the boards and the pieces here, but if you want the rules, I *might* be able to post them in a thread so people can copy paste or print them out. What I'd really like to do is make a website where people can download it for free because I have updates, sequels, whathaveyou to add to the game. This is just the "starter set", if you will, for my customizable strategy game. If you want a copy, or have a good idea how I can post all this, or even if you can help me make a website, I'd appreciate it. This is something I want the fans to have where the only cost to them is printing it out. (though 2 people went home with shiny professionally printed copy of the boards & pieces from our Shindig this past Saturday and a 3rd is in the hands of my chief playtester)

Also, I should mention that since this is an A) customizable game (meaning each game you play can have different characters and items) and B) is by a fan for the fans, I am looking for input and feedback. Email me with questions, concerns and ideas and if I use your idea or make a noteworthy adjustment to the game based on your input, you'll be listed in updated credits as newer stuff is released.

Oh, one last thing, if I do post into a thread, does anyone know how I can put pics into a post? There are diagrams accompanying the rules for better clarification, and I'd like those to be in-line with the text so not to confuse anyone.

Gojiro has rented me a shuttle and at 1/4 less than his asking price! What that means is you can now see the game

http://homepage.mac.com/gojiro42/PhotoAlbum10.html

AND DOWNLOAD IT FOR FREE! (it's a long link or you can get to it via the link on the page above!)

Hooray for Gojiro!
My Big Damn Hero! (gotta love poerty!)

Enjoy this, Browncoats, and if I get positive feedback, there will be more of it to come!

Hey TenthCrewMember, What games would you compare it to? I Play Catan with a group at least once a week. Is it more Board game, RPG, Strategy based or more like Monopoly?

It is a customizable strategy boardgame.

This means the Characters, the Weapons & Items, and even the Victory Conditions, will change each time you play.

Hopefully it is not like anything else you've played before! But I guess if you can imagine Stratego using different boards with different terrain and using dice to resolve combat instead of straight statistics and setting up pieces in different ways each time and they can get items to help them and sometimes the goal is the flag and sometimes it is the general and sometimes it is the whole enemy, then yeah, I guess it is like that. ;)

There is probably *something* out there like this, but I sure haven't played it.

GOJIRO

There is a game like this, but I can't recall what it is. Obviously not set in the Firefly verse, but in format, pretty similar.

In some ways, it's like Star Fleet Battles. Sorta.

Crap on this crappy brain o' mine. I'll think of the game. Watch this space...

Joss Whedon BWAH! card - FFF.net re-release
Updated with the new link for my Firefly games, the original was only available to those who attended a special advanced screening of Serenity in Cincinnati, but now everyone can have one! I've tagged it with the FireflyFans.net addy as well to identify it as the new copy.

Visit the link on the card to download any and all games I've developed, available for FREE, as always, to all my fellow Browncoats. Thanks for carrying me all these years. :) You guys are the finest bunch of Rubens in the 'verse.

HAPPY INDEPENDENTS DAY!
A variant, again, because I can. Share it if you like it :)

HAPPY INDEPENDENTS DAY!
Because I could. :)

Captain Castle
A fellow Browncoat, goes by Watcho, was telling me how her sister was now watching Firefly because of Nathan Fillion in Castle. She retorted with "He was my Captain before he was your Castle", and lo, a new design was born in that moment. You can find this design in the old TCM SPACE BAZAAR at: http://www.cafepress.com/10thcrew/743568 or, if you're handy with an iron, as your legend tells, print it out and iron it on your own self. Enjoy!

Apples to Griswolds
Been out of the (game making) world a while, but I got a request late last year from a very dear friend, so I am making it a reality for them...and you! This is just the teaser. And there will be at least be at one rule in my version there isn't in the original Apples to Apples game. All I'll say is there'll be a little...*pop* ;)

Also, at the behest of fans, both past and current, I'm only doing this up in grayscale in order to go easy on printing because there'll be A LOT of cards, and I don't want to eat up folks' printer ink.

Firefly Valentines (blast from the past)
More of the same, only different. ;)

Firefly Valentines (blast from the past)
Dug these up, made 'em years back. Sharing again for you!

Dozens of planets and hundreds of moons...
This is a digital work I did for an assignment for school (yes, I'm in school, try not to faint). Anyway, while it isn't done up with Firefly related images, Firefly certainly was my inspiration. My line of thought was what might it be like to see through the eyes of a deep space probe looking down onto a new world.

Anyway, I hope you like it, I worked very hard on this (and got an "A" by the way!)

TCM's Cargo Bay Ball Boardgame - Coming Soon!
Okay, so I've been out of the world a while, but that hasn't diminished my love for two things: Firefly and gaming! So here's a sneak peek at the playtest version of what I've been working on while I've been gone. Cargo Bay Ball is a multiplayer strategy action game, based off the episode Bushwhacked where the crew is playing a homemade basketball-esque game, in the cargo bay of your favorite Firefly class transport. One of my favorite features of this game is the random aspect of both a loose ball, and a goal that hangs freely and thus rotates during gameplay. This is, aside from subject material, an original game of my design, and unlike anything I've ever played (and hopefully the same for you!) Once you've got the rules down, which doesn't take long, you can play a 3-on-3 game in under 45 minutes, as the game is always "in motion".

Kiss Me I'm Fireflyrish - dug out of the archives...
For the Firefly and St. Patty's day fans out there rolled into one. Using the Cilantro leaf Joss was so fond of, and the classic "Kiss me" quote, we have this gem I made about 3 years ago!
