The Wall of Rejection and Protection stands high in front of us.

CATEGORY: FILK    TIMES READ: 2181    RATING: 9    SERIES: FIREFLY

The wall’s been painted and repainted, but still dull. It’s got itself set up and down, all but tall. This wall of all walls is drowning the feeling of loneliness down. We stare at it, the wall, stare long and hard at the wonder and disbelief that was put up after it all came down.

We stare and think about the unconscious minds that put up the wall, which separated different loves and tore a country in half. Thoughts of depressing pasts lead us to thank someone, whoever had done it, for setting the scene, of the wall that went down.

The downing of the feeling that we never could conquer before, we felt our hearts beat faster as hands took hold of one another. Smiles, tears, yelps, and hurrahs as the wall crumpled, clouded the air and was forever put down.

Down, down, down, as if they couldn’t hear it enough, went the wall and the fear of war taking the world and shaking it a vast. Scream to the heavens, for only a moment, because that’s how quick it takes for someone to object and build a wall of rejection.

Salvation’s the savior’s song but only lasts the first month on, and then we lose our seeing specs and notice that our doors are open to the hungry rich that gorge themselves until they’re sick and leaving the ill with their stomach’s full, we pray and whimper, God let the wall fall.
