Lambie-toes and Semi-Muscular Man

I made this as a Gift for Serenity Santa 2006 at LJ, plus two variations (I'll put the links to those, if you'd like to see them). I love Wash and Zoe. They were such a wonderful couple. I love Joss, but damn him for taking half of Zoe's heart away. Variation 1 (the simple one): http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/Xeyra/Firefly%20and%20Serenity/Banners%20and%20Headers/Serenity%20Santa%202006/washzoe1_roysbrat.jpg Variation 2 (with lyrics from "Lucky" by Bif Naked): http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/Xeyra/Firefly%20and%20Serenity/Banners%20and%20Headers/Serenity%20Santa%202006/washzoe2_roysbrat.jpg

Again, a breath-taking work. :) The banner across, and font (again) are exquisite. And I love how I get a Serenity-living-room-wallpaper-feel from those flowers. :) I can't make out the text entirely on the green; something 'bout "no more," at the end of a sentence; but I can distinguish, erm, no more. :) The good part is that it matters none. This is a poignant tribute to the love between Wash and Zoe, and highly artistically done with all the scratches and curves, and other ways to make it feel "old".

And the decolorized upper band is downright ingenius, in the way it portrays that they, as a couple, no longer exists (kinda like a forecasting shadow). As a means to convey that message, it's both subtle and powerful. Getting all choked up here; honestly, there could be tears (in a non-sarcastic way).

The text (aside from Wash & Zoe) isn't supposed to be readable. It's only for decoration. It's the so-called tiny text. Though that one does look big enough one could read something off it if they squinted very hard. :o)

And, asarian, thank you so much. Your comments and your incredible interpretations on the graphics are wonderful and really make a person's day.

I would love to know how you did the dust and scratches. If my photoshop talky thread in talk story is still visible, I would very much appreciate you swinging by. This is sooo stunning!

Oh...this is just freaking beautiful, Xeyra!

Strangely, it's the "main" background (the colourized shot of Wash and Zoe...in the Alliance scout vessel on Miranda?) that really works for me cuz it gives the shot a "Star Trek" vibe that seems to work for these two right at this moment;)

Yep, that's the Alliance shuttle they find on Miranda. This is a promo shot from that scene.

SUPERFLUOUS

This is an exceptional, first-rate, incomparable, high quality piece of work Xeyra. Looks like something you would pay someone to make professionally.
And I really like how you have a part of their heads in grayscale up the top. It reminds me of an old film reel.
Exceptional.

Summer Glau: "Dreamer"
It's been a while since I've done any graphics but today I was inspired by this image, so I made this.

River Tam: Icon Collection
These are some of the River Tam icons I've made in the past months and have been posting in my livejournal. I thought I'd gather a few and show them here.

River Tam: Through My Eyes
Just a simple River Wallpaper. It's been a while since I've done larger Firefly graphics.

I have two other versions of this wall, one textless, one without the smaller image of River on the top left corner.

Firefly: The Complete Series (Crew Cover)
Made for a contest on Livejournal that asked for a cover for a Boxset of a TV show. Obviously I chose Firefly. I made two covers. This is the Crew version.

Firefly: The Complete Series (Mal Cover)
Made for a contest on Livejournal that asked for a cover for a Boxset of a TV show. Obviously I chose Firefly. I made two covers. This is the Mal version.

The Captain and the Companion
Because they have the most interesting UST ever. :)

Browncoats: Mal and Zoe
Made in Photoshop CS2. Our favorite Browncoats, the captain and the second-in-command, who share one of the most interesting friendships in the series.

Simon in Jaynestown
I love this scene. Simon's expression is priceless. So I just had to play with it in Photoshop. I have two other versions of this graphic in the latest post at my livejournal (xeyra.livejournal.com).

River Tam Triumphant
I took one of Serenity's River promo images and created a graphic I submitted for a header contest at LJ. I had fun with this one. Lots of textures went into making this. I was going for a grunge-ish feel. Hope I succeeded.

Can't Take the Sky
I am obsessed with this promo shot so I've made a hundred variations of it. Well, I'm exaggerating but it almost feels like it. Made in Photoshop CS2.
