The Contract Chapter Seven: Full Circle

“Mmmmm,” Kaylee bit down on her lip, hard, like she often did back on Serenity when Jayne’s sexin’ got too rambunctious.

Jayne unlatched his mouth from her shoulder. “Don’t stifle it, babygirl. I wanna hear you cryin’ out when I’m lovin’ on ya. Otherwise, get’s me a thinkin’ I ain’t doin it right.”

Kaylee shook her head

“Ain’t no question you know what you’re doin’, Jayne,” she blurted out. “Feels wonderful!”.

The big merc raised her legs higher, pushing himself even deeper into her ji bai.

“We allus gotta be so gorram careful on th’ship,” he panted, “sneakin’ ‘round like a couple a kids. Ain’t no way to enjoy a tussle if’n you’re strugglin’ to stay quiet.”

Still unsatisfied with the girl’s response, he pointed out, “It’s a whore-house, Kaylee. We can make all th’racket we wanna. Ain’t like we’s th’only people in this building takin’ a tumble together.”

I know how to get this bird t’sing, he thought to himself and began to arch his pelvis on the in-stroke, spearing up into her, his cock-head nuzzling her g-spot with each thrust. No way she can stay quiet now, he figured.

“Tzao gao!” she howled in delight. “I don’t know what you’re doin’, but it feels amazin’!” The rhythmical magic he was conjuring inside her felt like nothing she’d ever experienced, a maddening, expanding ache. Her nails dug into his shoulders and scored his back, her breath coming faster.

Jayne grinned smugly. This was what it was all about – makin’ li’l Kaylee come her sweet brains out.

“Just think," he whispered to her, his voice low and gritty, “all around us there’s folks ruttin’ and pleasurin’ each other. It’s like a gorram orgy, ‘cept we ain’t all in the same room together.” As if to confirm this observation, the headboard of the bed in the room next to them began to rattle against the wall, and shortly, the hoarse grunts of a man’s release could be heard.

The merc’s provocative talk unquestionably inflamed the little mechanic. He could see it in her eyes and feel the building intensity in her response. Her nimble little hands came up to pinch and twist at his nipples and he groaned at the electric link that surged from chest to cock.

“Come on, babygirl,” he urged her and felt her tightening on his diao. His thrusts grew even deeper and soon their headboard was knocking back.

The rippling explosion in Kaylee’s belly happened abruptly. She flung her head back and simply wailed, a long, high, sobbing cry of ecstasy. The rush of wetness that accompanied her orgasm felt to Jayne like a baptism in liquid fire.

“God damn, Kaylee, that’s what I wanted,” he growled.

Kaylee’s cry, so raw, so visceral, dragged him over the edge. He fastened his mouth to the angle of her neck and sucked for all he was worth, balls buzzing as his engorged cock spurted his load into Kaylee’s still spasming core.

“That’s… my… girl…!”

In the wee hours of the morning, after a long and difficult day and several passionate couplings, Jayne and Kaylee finally fell asleep in the big brass bed, spooned together with his face buried in her fragrant hair. Sated and exhausted, they slept long and deeply, and Annie made certain they were undisturbed.

Sometime late in the morning, Jayne was awakened by an achingly full bladder. Finishing up with the chamber pot, he realized from the angle of the light pouring down through the window that they’d overslept.

“Kaylee. Kaylee, honey, ya gotta wake up.” He gently shook her shoulder. Her smudged, dark eyes fluttered open, struggling to focus.

“Huh?” She pushed her hair out of her face and looked around blearily. “What time is it?”

“Dunno. Late.” Jayne was perched naked on the edge of the bed and she pushed herself upright to face him. A goofy grin played across his face and she giggled.

“Helluva night, huh?”

“If I’m to believe my nethers and my head, yeah,” she acknowledged. “Wish we had some coffee.” She reached out for Jayne’s hand and laced her fingers through his, her cheeks coloring. “Lord you’re good at that.”

“What, sexin?”

“No, idgit, standin’ on your head.” She playfully slapped at his arm. “O’course I meant sexin’.”

Jayne just grinned widely. “Yep. Comes with lotsa practice. Practice with ya anytime yer willin’.”

She slid closer to him. “Cap said we’re ta be back at Serenity at noon. I guess we better get ourselves dressed and moving, huh?”

Jayne was busy studying the sway of her breasts and the way the morning sun fell across the slope of her shoulder and back and the sweet fullness of her hips.

“Wha…?”

“I said, we need to get movin’.

Kaylee stood up and surveyed the scattering of clothing about the room. “Gotta pick up this mess and get dressed so we can get back to the ship on time.” When she bent to reach for the knapsack where her extra clothes were packed, the view was spectacular.

Jayne Cobb was not a man for wasting opportunities when they presented themselves, and one was certainly within his grasp, so he simply captured the girl around the middle and dragged her onto his lap.

Kaylee struggled but the merc's hands were busy being seriously distracting.

“Jayne, stop foolin’ around,” she whined. “We’re gonna be late and the captain’s gonna get mad and then ai ya women wanle.”

It seemed to Kaylee like the man was all over her, and her efforts toward dressing and leaving melted away under the onslaught of Jayne’s kisses and caresses.

“Mal can fuck himself,” the merc groused between kisses. “Might do ‘im good anyways, since he sure ain’t getting’ any from anybody else…” He licked two fingers and quickly slipped them inside her at the same time his mouth latched onto a breast. He could feel her lubricating and opening to his hand and his cock started to get hard against her warm, soft hip.

Kaylee quit struggling.

“Mmmm, that feels good…” she sighed. “Oh, hell, guess we’ll just be late. How mad can Mal be?”

The rude grin on Jayne’s face widened and he flipped Kaylee onto her back.

“Alrighty, then…” and he plunged into her once more.

It was shortly before noon when Jayne and Kaylee came downstairs. Red Annie looked up from the ledger she was writing in and went to greet them. The merc was back in his dress clothes, while the girl was wearing a short, brightly colored dress with a sash that wrapped and tied just above her waist.

“I take it you two had an enjoyable night?”

Kaylee flushed and giggled. Jayne just grinned.

“Oh," the girl remembered, “I folded up them nice things you loaned me for last night and left ‘em on the bed. Sure do appreciate all your kindness.”

Kaylee poked Jayne.

“Uh, yeah, I ‘preciated them, too. I mean, all them things you done to help us out.” He looked at Kaylee with something close to awe. “Never seen her look like that before.”

Annie put her arms around Kaylee and hugged her. “Don’t let him get away,” she whispered as Kaylee returned her embrace.

“I’m in your debt, Annie. You ever need me to put someone in line or shoot ’em or beat ‘em up, just say so.” The big man slipped an arm around his old friend and gently kissed her cheek.

Red Annie whispered in his ear, “Marry that girl, Jayne Cobb.”

“Huh.”

“Guess we’d better hightail it back to th’ship, seein’ as we’re already late.” The merc took Kaylee’s knapsack. “I know some shortcuts ‘cross th’docks.”

“Now that don’t surprise me one bit. You lead and I’ll follow, best as I can keep up with ya.”

“Turn down this alley…” He moved at a brisk clip, watchful, always keeping Kaylee close. “I don’t think we’ll have any trouble after yesterday, but best t’be on th’careful side.”

“Jayne? “ she asked hesitantly, “Don’t know ‘bout you, but I ain’t never liked Badger, ‘specially since he’s jerked us around on so many jobs.”

Fire flashed in the mercenary’s eyes. “Personally, I think we shoulda killed the li’l weasel a long time ago. Man has the balls to bring his goons on Serenity, hold us hostage ‘til Mal gets his sword fightin’ all done, then this luh-suh contract th’ chou wang ba dan takes on you. Someone needs to take ‘im down a peg or two.” Jayne spat. “Hell, Kaylee, I’d happily kill ‘im m’self, if’n you wanna.”

The mechanic thought about this possibility. “Well, we have been getting’ a lot of work through him of late, and jobs been hard to come by. You kill him, s’like throwin’ a spanner in the works, no telling what the fallout’s like to be.”

As they walked, Kaylee considered Jayne's offer, then looked up at him. "Can you come up with some sorta way to mess him up an' not have it come back on us? "

“I’ll have to suss it out, but, yeah, there oughta be a way to do somethin’ by way of a li’l revenge.” Jayne grinned wolfishly, relishing the idea.

“Just one thing,” Kaylee hesitated. “I ain’t got much to pay you with, leastways not like you get working for Mal.”

Jayne looked sidelong under his hat brim at the ray of sunshine beside him and thought about all they’d shared the past twelve hours, then laughed, deep and heartily. “Oh, we’ll find us a way to work it all out…”

They emerged from the shadowed alley into glaring mid-day sunlight and a busy street. The crowds parted before the big man as if for a bulldozer and he led his woman up two blocks, then cut between a couple of warehouses.

By this time, Kaylee was getting winded. “Teach me to set off with a man’s got legs like a stork. Slow up some, Jayne. Like you said, we’re already late.”

The mercenary turned to block her way, putting his fists on his hips in an exact imitation of the mechanic when she was peeved. “Slow up, Jayne. Deeper, Jayne. Do it faster, Jayne.” His sing-song voice mocked her. “Woman, make up your gorram mind!” he teased, not the least surprised when she punched him.

He pulled her into a brief bear hug and then they ambled on, Jayne strategizing on how best to handle their return to Serenity.

“We gonna show up together? You know Mal’ll be pacin’ the ramp like a caged tiger, us bein’ late.” Jayne was recalling the rather explicit consequences Mal had promised him if it came to light that his merc was beddin’ his mechanic, consequences involving abrupt and absolute vacuum.

“You worried about him getting’ suspicious ‘bout us?” the mechanic asked as they walked.

“Didn’t ya know that Suspicious is his middle name?” Jayne snorted. “In truth, might be better if we split up just before the ship. I ain’t ashamed of folk knowing we been together, but with Mal, it’s like wavin’ a red flag at ‘im. I’m enjoying life right now -- got no desire to depart it anytime soon.”

Five minutes later, they stood at the edge of the dock a few pads up from Serenity. “You go on, babygirl. Just tell ‘im ya got drunk and overslept. That’ll most likely wash.”

He handed Kaylee her knapsack and stole one long, last kiss, then smacked her on the ass as she turned to leave.

“Hey there!” she yelped.

“Couldn’t help m’self. It was just too cute.”

++++

True to Jayne’s prediction, Mal was stalking back and forth at the top of the ramp, his arms crossed and jaw set, looking for all the world like an angry father whose kids had broken curfew.

Kaylee breezed up the ramp, putting on her sweetest, widest smile. “Hiya, Cap’n! Ain’t it a beautiful day?”

Mal rocked back on his boot heels and fixed her with a poisonous glare. “Got me a job. Got me a boat as can’t take off. An’ how come I can’t take off an’ go do this job? ‘Cause I got no mechanic and no merc.”

Kaylee hung her head.

“I’m sorry, Cap’n. Got to partyin an’, well, you know how it is.” She tilted her head and batted her eyelashes at him in her best flirting way, unknowingly exposing the prominent hickey Jayne had left on her neck.

“Looks like whoever you was partyin’ with nearly bit that fong luh head a yours right off.” Mal arched an eyebrow and observed pointedly.

The girl gulped and slapped her free hand over the mark. “Uh, that? That’s just a… That’s a bruise.”

“Yep. Sure is. An’ I don’t wanna know nothin’ about how it got there. Now git to work.”

“Yessir!”

++++

Five minutes later, Jayne sauntered on board, looking for all the world like a tomcat who’d just made his rounds.

Mal was standing beside the control panel for the ramp and bay doors, one hand on the “close” button and a chronometer in the other.

“Cuttin’ it a mighty close, aren’t’cha?”

“Maybe.” Jayne doffed his hat and brushed the dust off of it. “There’s some things it’s plumb criminal ta rush through, and the li’l piece a trim I was tendin’ to deserved all th’attention I could offer.”

“Next time, you’ll keep your ‘tending’ on your own time and be here to work on mine, dong ma?” Mal hit the button and the ramp and massive bay doors closed with a hiss of hydraulics and a deep clunk.

Serenity’s captain clicked on the comm. “Wash, tardy folk’s all on board. Take us outta the world.”

“You got it, Mal.”

Side by side, Mal and Jayne crossed the cargo bay and climbed the stairs toward the front corridor. The captain was headed up to the bridge and Jayne for his bunk to change out of his dress clothes and back into the t-shirt and cargo pants that comprised his standard ship-board garb.

As they got to Jayne’s chute door, Mal paused. “By the way, got us another job, nice turn around. Badger had another drug shipment, outgoing to Helena. Easy, quick contract. An’, oh,” he shook his head, “he was wonderin’ if we might know anything about a man a his went missing. That Raj fella you’re always mixing it up with.”

Jayne looked Mal square in the eye. “Got no clue what mighta happened with that piece a fei oo. He’ll likely turn up where he belongs eventually.” The merc kicked the chute open and grabbed the top rung. “Got a little contract of my own to sort out with Badger.”

“You got side work for cashy money?” Mal asked in surprise.

“Nah,” the mercenary smirked, “Just a little deal I’m doin’ for trade…”

THE END

A/N: Inside joke -- “fei oo” can be translated as “junk” and Jayne left Raj’s body in Geller’s Junkyard.

Oh yeah...definitely need a smoke after that bit of Jaylee loving...and I don't even smoke!

Definitely would love to see some more from ya. If you haven't already covered the Jaylee revenge plot on Badger somewhere else in fic (Lord knows I would forget such thing like that, sadly), I would definitely be behind a sequel to this:D
