That afternoon

Jayne sat on his bed covers, leg pulled in with his toenail clippers clipping away at what seem like a never-ending job. He wished that there were some way of making this job more pleasant.

Later that night

Kaylee padded barefoot through the hallway and into Jayne’s bunk. She stripped off her nightie and crawled in next to Jayne. He move slightly as she lay along his body, his arm automatically curling around her lower belly, pulling her close to him. She sighed and fell asleep.

Following morning

Jayne stirred and stretched under the covers, his movements stirring Kaylee awake. She rolled over and smiled at him. Jayne leant over and kissed her softly and threw the bed covers aside. Kaylee got up to retrieve her nightie from the floor giving Jayne a wake-up full view of her arse.

He looked across and started laughing. He couldn’t stop; tears were forming in his eyes with laughter. Kaylee turned and huffed on her nightie and stood there with her arms folded, angry look on her face.
