I'm a bit crazy, and that's OK
Wednesday, November 3, 2004

It's about 1AM right now, and I feel like posting a blog, because my other blogs were getting lonely. I've been awake now for about 40 hours straight now, thanks to a rough bout of insomnia, and the helpfulness of a high-power computer system equipped with many many online games and a super-fast internet connection. (Fractional T3 with a T1 backup, makes it about 13MB/s)

I've tried 'sleep-aids', I've tried... other things... nothing seems to work, and I have no option but to get back into Counter-Strike: Source and pwn a bunch of n00bz until I fall into unconsiousness. (For those who don't speek l337, pwn=kill n00bz=new players)

I can't really see my hands typing... everything seems like the refresh rate is off by just so much... I feel my head turn, but I don't see what is to the left of me quite as quickly as I should. Have you ever gotten so tired that you aren't tired, but wired? Yet not wired like with caffiene, but wired and just as equally sluggish? I could totally roxor anyone at Counter-Strike right now, but if somebody asked me to count to a thousand, I'd say 1, 2, 3, then forget that they existed and play some Counter-Strike.

Maybe some Jolt will help me.

...

It's been about 30 minutes since I wrote "Maybe some Jolt will help me", and after consuming a bottle of Electric Blue Jolt, the only difference I notice is the fact that my hands are shaking more than they were an hour ago, and I'm having more trouble typing. I've had to use backspace at least 10 times for each sentence in this paragraph. Right there too. Even there. And on that one, I actually tapped the backspace three more times than I meant to and had to retype what I originally typed correctly, even though that time I typed it incorrectly, and had to retype it.

I'm going to try to sleep. If that doesn't work, please send any donations to the "CB REALLY REALLY NEEDS SLEEP" foundation, located... well, I'm sure it's somewhere, but it's kinda like the counting thing. 1, 2, 3 ...counter-strikeismyuniverseandnothingshallpullmefromit.

All proceeds will go to the ever-increasing supply of Ambien that I have. And some of it will go to pizza. Cause if the ambien doesn't work, I'm gonna need pizza. And Jolt. Cause if I'm not sleeping, I sure as heck want to be as awake as I can be.

Here's to hoping that the next few hours are spent in blissful unconsiousness. Till then, I bid you adeu.

CB

P.S. really, if you want to give me money to buy ambien, pizza, and jolt, you can.

P.P.S. I just put this here because it says P.P.

I feel your pain. I once had insomnia for two years. Thank God its over. I never found out what caused it, if anything. I had to stop drinking caffine period. No coffee, no nothing. Maybe if you try some sleepy time tea and hang upside down for five minutes. Sometimes that works for me.
