Drastic Measures
Monday, November 2, 2009

Despite the site blocker I downloaded, my time I spend on the internet at work has again hit levels that are starting to worry me. So I'm going to have to begin enforcing more restrictions.

I like browsing fireflyfans and seeing someone's posted a new story, but I'm going to have to wait to read them and comment until I get home. The same goes for checking my personal e-mail and messages.

Just wanted to let all you shiny folks I like talking to know, so you don't think I'm ignoring you.

As an update: this pretty much went no where. Although, I did manage to stop reading fanfic at work (mostly) which is probably the most likely thing to get me into trouble.

Today is apparently a bust on this goal. I'll try harder tomorrow. I did, however, get SOME work done.

Haha, wow, a confession. Time restrictions are a really good way to go, i.e. "Except for real emergencies, I can only check my email/be online/whatever from X to X during the day. Period."
When I've been strong enough to keep it like that, it's really helped me, and I find I don't stretch things out or spend a lot of unnecessary time browsing. Good luck with your new aspirations. :)
