I'm a Fascist Dictator!
Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Apparently, anyway, according to this guy in an army jacket who was walking behind me on the street.

Although I couldn't tell if he was actually talking to me, or if he just had Tourette's. There was a lot of mumbled swearing involved, couldn't hear much.

But he did give me a filthy look!

So, as newly appointed dictator-for-life, I'm excited, this could be fun. I think my first order of business will be to enslave the peons...

Oh. Damn.

Well, then, my next order of business is to create a secret watch over all the citizenry and institute torture practices on dissidents... DAMMIT!

Well, then, I'll raise taxes and not make any sign of ever paying off an ever increasing national debt while the same time I'll create programs to make the citizens dependent on the government for all their basic needs because their income can no longer support themselves!

MWAHAHAHAHA!

Don't like government at all, really.

Social programs in the hands of communities I don't really consider the realm of government so much as cooperation.

You're a fascist dictator, I'm evil's spawn, it's all good :D

"For the record, I actually support a number of social programs, but think that they should really be community based. My complaint here is that increasingly we are becoming dependent upon these programs, and on government itself, to do for us, and we are being maneuvered into having no choice about it.

"This is similar for my views on education. In most small towns, it's pointless to teach anything like evolution, 1) because they won't believe it and treat it like a joke, and 2) in small enough towns there aren't any dissenting opinions to offend in regards to belief, morality, and etc.

Let them do what they want. And then places that want evolution will get the most benefit, instead of watering it down. "

We're actually quite similar in trains of thought. I however, trust absolutely no one in government of politics. It's the pirate and indian blood in me.

Hey, shouldn't your first order of dictorship be to resurrect Firefly? To heck with social problems, world peace, etc. We need more Firefly!!

And, could you work on bringing back Wash and Book? I know it's within your power to do so.

Absolutely, I agree.

QUANDOM

"Sure as I know anything
I know this,
they will try again.

Maybe on another world,
maybe on this very ground
swept clean.

A year from now,
they'll swing back
to the belief...

that they can make people...

better.

And I do not hold to that."

Me neither.

I fear a government that is trying to make me better.

Rather I go with Wiliam Jennings Bryan who said "The people have a right to their own mistakes".

I'd rather live badly in my own way, than have some one dictate to me how to better live mine.
