Jayne I see and I'll say why...being no one has said anything about how Pax transmits (as in the first fic, by blood or bites like zombies 'cause even Joss says they're bascially Dawn of the Dead in space) Mal would take himself out in one of those "selfless acts of his" in order to spare everyone else. Jayne, on the other hand, might be just dumb enough to not realize what is happening to him until too late. However...the Inara angle is way interesting...and we haven't seen too many female reavers....damn, gotta admit you guys my mind hadn't even gone that way! LOL...But then Inara's got the nice little black box, so it cancels out like Mal. So yeah, gonna have to put my favorite through the ringer again...(like there was any friggin doubt) Jayne's gonna kill 'em all...or will he...? Then again, what if River didn't just blow them all away...so many interesting turns....

Leiasky... you forget that Mal went through the Oprative... not saying that River isn't more well trained than the Oprative, just that, with that determination, coupled with the fact that Reavers "won't lie down" and don't seem to feel pain... >.< Mighty interestin' day in the works if Mal (reaver-ized) fought River...

Mal would go after Inara because I can see her always on his mind even if he doesn't admit it. He would take down anyone in his way to get to her, of course.

But - then you have to consider River - she would sense it happening. She can stop a Reaver . . .

Ok... personally I see Mal or Jayne as doing this... Now, before people start going for my throat... here is way... Mal, he's seen just so much utter SHIT in his life, hell, man has lost most, if not all, of what he belives in during the war, many possibilities for a change there... or Jayne, for mostly the same reasons... As to the who, I think I'd have to go with Inara, and haveing Mal be the Reaver, just for that extra freakieness (now don't get me wrong, I'm a romantic sucker, and yes, I'm a guy, but that's part of what will make this so good and gorram creepy is the whole Mal/Inara bit...) Mal being all reaver-ie and goin after Nara has my vote!!!

Hmmmmm, i do not know if i'm too keen to have my fav crew offed by one of their own (outside of a dream sequence). However if this is a story that is just brusting out of you needing to be told, then go for it! I promise to read.
