Okay, so I know my title sounds weird, but there's no other way to say it.

You know My little ponies? Well, my friend can re-make them. She takes out the tail and mane, puts in new ones, and will add different colours to it etc.
I've started doing them and I've decided that for a summer project, I'm going to make a pony for each of the firefly characters.
I've got it mostly figures out, but I'm getting a little stuck on what to paint on their sides. Each one will have a firefly painted on one side. But the other side, I want to have something significant about/to that character. This is what I have so far:

Mal- independant's crest
Zoe- her sawed off
Wash- dinosaur
Kaylee- teddy bear
Jayne- Vera
Simon- Needle/red hospital cross
River- blue hand
Inara- tea cup
Book- bible

I'm not sure about my River, Inara, or Zoe. And painting a small Vera will be insanely difficult. So if you have any suggestions, for nay of them, but mostly for those 4, could you let me know?

For River, I would suggest something dance-related. Inara? Tiny golden Buddha, perhaps? Zoe....how about a rose (beautiful but able to protect itself)?

I'll definately be posting pictures of them. It will probably take a while before they're done. I need to go and buy the ponies, I want them to all be the same size. It'll take lots of work, but I really want them to exsist.

I think, if you could manage it, you should put the Serenity logo (maybe sans the word 'Serenity' over it; just the Chinese) on Mal and the Independent's crest on Zoe. Zoe is career military and damn good at her job. Mal is the leader, the Captain, and the ship is everything to him. That's the only thing I can think of, really.

Hmm. Footprint, that could work too.

Does anyone have suggestions for Zoe? I'm really stuck on her. I don't want to paint her sawed off. I suppose I could do the crest for her too, but I really want each person to have their own thing.

I think a footprint would be more River-esque, her going barefoot all the time. Maybe a bed for Inara? Or is that too cheap?

Ooh, a grenade would be awsome for Jayne. I might do that.

I'm trying to thing of things they use everyday, that would tell you a bit about the person.

I'm not sure if an hourglass would best represent Inara. I'm trying to think of something fancy, that she would use lots. That's why I thought tea cup. But the cup doesn't seem specific enough for me.

You could paint Jayne's pistol instead, or a grenade, just be sure it's one from the movie. For Inara, you could maybe paint her hour-glass. I'm not sure what to paint for Zoe.
