How do you put those URL's from othe sites on your posts?

I have tried various approaches to placeing the links to other web sites in my threads with no success. Would somebody give me a detailed description, possibly with graphic displays, of the proper procedures to create these links.

Actually it is some from my another forum I am a member of http://www.imdb.com.

I have been trying to add my movie list to my signature there. Others do it and I have not bee able to do it.

I have making some changes in my signatures mainly to keep in practice.
Got to hone my skills.

Go to URL you want.
Copy from address bar.
Paste.
Post.
(URLs must begin with the http://www. for the site to recognize them as URLs and code them as such, so be sure to copy everything in the address bar)
