Movin' off the Edge
Wednesday, June 6, 2007

Meant to post this a while ago, but then EVERYTHING STARTED HAPPENING AT ONCE.

Anyhow, it's (long-since) official: I'm moving to Toronto.

I've been accepted into Toronto Film School (will be working right out of the CBC building), have found an apartment (less than a block from Yonge St., 28th floor, beautiful building, right downtown, and less than $900 rent).

Pictures here:

My course starts in July, and I'll be moving up next week. I'll be leaving here Tuesday and should be back online by Friday, so don't panic while I'm gone.

I'm cautiously excited (everything's going smooth, so I'm fully expecting tragedy at any moment), but this could be big. Toronto, film school, actual contact with real-live screenwriters/producers/directors. . . This is what I want to do. My future's out there.

I'm jealous. The apartment looks great and the views are amazing. Congratulations on your acceptance too! Film school - colour me jealous again!

Awesome stuff though, let us know how the move and everything goes :-)

Good for you! I haven't been to Toronto since I moved away from Western New York in the very late 70's...so thanks for the pics! As I recall it's a beautiful, clean and vibrantly exciting city so in addition to your school work you will have plenty to see and do. Good luck to you.
