So my desktop has decided to break. So I had to put the internet on my laptop; which is extremely annoying as the battery keeps dying.

And it also means that I can't use photoshop. And it also means that all the wallpapers I have been working on will probably be lost. That's a shame, 'cos I quite liked them. So don't expect anything from me until the computer either gets fixed or my mam buys a new one.

Also, the computer engineer dude came out today to look at it and while he was here it didn't freeze once. The second he left, it froze again. It's sod's bloody law, isn't it?

To give a fair and equitable balance point to Rob's posting, I have had little to no problems with my Dell laptops. I am especially enamoured of my current machine - a 9 month old Dell Latitude D820 - and anything that's gone pear-shaped has been because of my stupdity.

Personally, I would recommend Dell. They offer the right mix of customization and standardization, since Dell offers between 2-4 options per major part or section. Gives you flexibility but doesn't leave you wondering if one part doesn't like another;)

Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. Burned the t-shirt out of spite...

I know what you're going through. Hang in there. May I suggest you buy something NOT Windows-based next time 'round. I love my MacBook. Shameless plug, I know, but I love it and it doesn't give me a lick of trouble. Just a thought.

Take care.
