Could always pop the boxset DVDs inot your computer and see if there's not a file folder on the discs for the audio files.

I love the Firefly soundtrack. It's on my ipod right now:)

One that note (sort of a pun there, I suppose) if there is a simple way to record the audio portion of each episode while it is playing on my laptop (separate program running simultaneously) that would work too. This is opposed to using an actual "ripper" which would might be faster, but I don't want to do anything illegal (even if I do own the original media).

The obvious "cheap way" would be to stick a tape recorder next to my speakers while watching an episode, and record it that way, but I am hoping for a more 21st century way of doing this.

Am I the only one who wants audio-only Firefly episodes for those long commutes, or airport delays? Can't be...

Sorry, what I meant is that I want the "whole sound track" - not just the music (which I have, by the way (and it is excellent!)). I simply want the experience of listening to the episodes (dialogue and sound effects, and music) without having to carry my laptop in my car (playing the DVDs). The want the entire thing, just minus the video...

The official Firefly tv soundtrack by Greg Edmonson, has been availabe to buy in stores and online for sometime.
