A Death...
Sunday, April 22, 2007

I recieved some crushing news less than two hours ago.

A friend of mine has just passed away.

Her name was Ayla, and she was dear to most she knew.

This morning she was traveling from Orillia Ontario, to Oshawa Ontario, and was in a car crash. She was pronounced dead at 2:30 in the morning.

Myself, her friends, her family all grieve today. To be honest, I really dont know what so say. How to honour her memory.

18 years old...

It is really quite numbing. This is the first death that has really affected me personally. Now I understand the feeling Joss was trying to get across in Buffy's "The Body".

Thoughts still come to mind that cause me to butst into tears. She will never feel the joy of marrage. She had only come into a place of true happiness, out of a place of horror and depression she resided in. She had only just graduated high school. Had her whole life ahead of her.

Why do these things happen? I don't know. Why is there death? I don't know. Why would God allow such a thing? Such a beautiful, and wonderful woman, who has touched so many lives. I don't know. What I do know, that everything happens for a reason. That her death will influence and chance many lives for the better.

And she is in a better place.

My sincerest condolences, Kayllyn:(

Death is never easy to understand or to come to grips with - as it should be, since the world would be a much crappier place if death was blase in nature - and to lose a friend like that is something I hope I never have experience.

Just remember...you got a whole bunch of people here who are ready to carry you when you need to move but are just too tired and full of pain to move. Grieve as you need and think of the good times with Ayla.

Remember and cherish the good. She touched your life for at least one reason, if not many more. Perhaps to teach some folk that life is precious beyond comprehension; not to be taken for granted. It's a privilege and a gift. Give your loved ones that extra hug and kiss, even if it seems trivial and silly.

Remember the good.

Though it may sound hollow... I feel for you. I've gone through that, too... it never gets any easier... just make sure that you have someone to lean on. Just remember her. It's all you can ever do... that, and live for her. Live so that she would be proud of you. I'm sure that she is the one grieving for you now... it hurts you more than her, I suspect. Please... do not despair. Life is only a way in which to find thepeople who will always be there for you... no matter when or where.
