Life on Mars
Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Well, it finished last night. I won't say what happened but it was brilliant. And it had me in tears for the half the programme. I think that was mostly due to it being the end rather than the episode being sad.

Anyway that's all I'm going to say. Ok, so now I'm going to give a list of books/TV/Films that make me cry, cos I'm in that sort of mood.

1. The return of the King (book and film)
2. The Ghost Road- the last in the Regeneration Trilogy by Pat Barker. The end had me in tears.
3. Several episodes of Neighbours. It may be sunny, Australian corniness but they sure do know how to tug at the heartstrings.
4. Let him have it- The bit where Christopher Eccleston died.

Ok that's all for now

The things one misses out on when one doesn't live in Britain (since while there are Canadian broadcasters for "Life on Mars," I think we're still on Season One)...*sigh*

I was upset last night too. The final episode was fantastic, powerful stuff. I couldn't concentrate for a while after watching it. (I always tune into The Unit afterwards, but my mind was still stuck in the 70's.) :)

The soundtrack for that finale was excellent as well!

EEEEEeeeewwwww!

Neighbours?
A blight on the Australian cultural landscape if ever there was one!

But I won't hold that against you. We all have guilty pleasures.

Surely Kath & Kim brings you to tears....tears of joy! What a show!

And I must read this 'Regeneration Trilogy'. Sounds good.
