Well..guess my lesson wasn't quite learnt, was it?
Sunday, March 11, 2007

So yeah...some of you might recall a past blog o' mine where I discussed how I came mere micrometres from owing Mark Millar $2000 for a signed copy of the Once More With Feeling script and a copy of the The Chosen Collection.

Well...got myself involved in another 'Verse-related eBay auction and this time I did win. What did I win, you ask? Well...this:

So...in the name of charity - and due to my nutty new obsession with the good Ms. Glau - I now owe the BC Women's Foundation slightly over $400 US (close to $500 Canuckistani dollars). Yay me!

Whoa! That's a lot of money! Congrats on the win, and I do believe that the money will be well spent.

And, I don't know anything about Canadian tax laws, but for your sake, I hope its deductible!

stinkingrose,

Oh, I know it's earned me lots of good karma and helped at least one couple with the roller-coaster that is having a kid. Especially if the pregnancy is gonna be smooth...

However, $417 is an amount of coin that is available to me, but still a good chunk out of my finances. Just makes me glad I pre-paid my rent for this and next month;)

Aaawwhttp://www...so fuzzy!
Just content yourself that your tuition for a life lesson also brings you much bonus good karma points. Fragile newborns are very expensive, and you're helping bring peace of mind to some very terrified women (and men).

Solan --> It's actually not as bad as it could have been. My final max bid was like $500, under the assumption that coughing up that much coin would be highly improbably. Guess someone just realized they weren't crazy enough to push farther;)

Alliethorn7 --> Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up, fuzzball. Let the mirth go free;)

Damn! You got all the BAD luck, ya?
I'd pity you... but, I'm too busy laughin'!!!

That... must hurt the financial planning of a couple of months a lot. If it's of any help - could have happened to me as well, had it been a browncoat.
