It is amazing how much of this white stuff that can come suddenly. We had a snow free Christmas here and everybody was thinking that global warming, that horrible monster most scary, had come to stay. But alas, winter came late but with a vengeance, it seems. It is not so bad though, January here is usually -20 C and thick slippery ice, so 20-30 cm snow and only a few degrees below zero ain't so bad. Its pretty too. And it gives everybody an excellent excuse for staying indoors and watching for example, this is only a random example from the top of my head

... Firefly (again).
